This cottage experience was absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning and location just beautiful. We had a sense of there being much more than we anticipated.. Having the extra space with the granny flat, playhouse and BBQ area created ease for everyone and meant everyone could have quiet time if they wanted it. We really recommend this cottage and we will certainly be back.

We had an excellent time on this holiday. We loved the house, the facilities and we really enjoyed everything about the place. The BBQ area is lovely and so peaceful, and the little garden house was gorgeous.

Dan Breen's Hideout was in perfect place, near Glendalough and Glen of Imaal. We loved the countryside and silence of area. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Dan Breen's Hideaway. The owner was very welcoming and responded quickly to all our needs. I am very happy to recommend this rental without reservations. We enjoyed our stay in this historic Irish home and were sad to say goodbye. It was a wonderful place to return home to every evening. Thanks for helping to make our Irish vacation memorable and comfortable.

The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful to us as we had very little knowledge of the area. There was plenty of room for the 10 of us in the accommodation and the facilities were excellent. Wicklow is a beautiful place with lots to do and the cottage is in a great location but you do need a car.

The Cottage was beautiful and quaint, everyone enjoyed finding the little never ending nooks and crannies of the house. Everyone was fascinated by the little bits of history about Dan Breen himself. We used the garden as it was sunny and enjoyed the little Wendy houses and BBQ area. The location was perfect and it really was ideal for my sisters Hen weekend.

We chose Dan Breen's hideout for a family holiday this year and we were'nt disappointed. It was such a relaxing little retreat in the middle of the countryside, SO quiet! Danny + Maeve couldn't have been more friendly and helpful-they even left some sandwiches in the fridge for our arrival as they knew we'd be late. They helped us a lot with local info + directions. The cottage was great for us, lots of space, well equipped and comfortable. BBQ area was FAB! We loved collecting fresh eggs from the chickens + ducks, and feeding the donkeys and pony. Check out the traditional dancing at one of the many local pubs-good craic!! Dan Breen's is great for couples, families and older people with limited mobility. We would love to return. Thanks for having us!!

Our extended family are holidaying here for a week. Kids are loving feeding the chickens and donkeys, collecting fresh eggs in the morning. Parents & grandparents are loving the comfortable house & decking area. All generations are enjoying the basketball, tennis & football in the garden. Lots a great day trips within a 20 min drive - glendalough, powerscourt, mount usher gardens, lough dan ....

The property has authentic Irish charm and true character, nestled in the mountains of WIcklow in a beautiful location. There are many amenities and places to visit at close range.Suitable for family and friends alike. The owner lives nearby and could not have been more accommodating and helpful whilst still affording us our privacy and space.People of all ages will find something to occupy themselves in this home away from home.Highly recommended - we'll be back!!

We stayed for a week with my father, husband and children aged 3, 9 and 18 and had a fabulous time. The cottage is full of Irish charm and has everything you need for a family holiday from donkeys, chickens and a tyre swing to flat screen TV, wifi and a superb gas barbecue. We were amazed at how beautiful the scenery was in an area that is less than an hours drive from the Dublin ports and airport. Walk, drive or cycle from the house and the fantastic views starts from the minute you step out of the front door. Roundwood is only ten minutes drive and has a great selection of restaurants, pubs and a decent shop and an excellent chinese takeaway.
