Dinny's retreat was excellent throughout. Warm when needed and light and airy when the sun came out. The views are tremendous and the whole area serene and quiet. The fixtures and fittings, from the jacuzzi bath to the dishwasher were all of the highest standard. We had an awesome stay at Dinny's retreat and won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet couples retreat in the South Lakes!

The cottage was furnished to a high standard and the decor was lovely - very cosy and I liked the open plan of the upstairs. The cottage was well equipped - oil, washing up liquid and sponge, dishwasher tablets etc. and came with lovely touches such as AA guides to walks, Kendal mint cake, flowers. We really felt at home.

The comfort of the cottage and the well thought out extras such as board games and leaving milk for when we arrived. The jacuzzi bath was an absolute luxury and the huge shower was amazing. Having a TV and DVD in the bedroom was great too and the WiFi came in handy due to the lack of signal in the area.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, really well maintained. Could not recommend highly enough, I almost don't want to tell friends and family because I don't want it to be booked up the next time we want to go! The owners had thought of so many great little ideas, from having tea and coffee to logs for the fire and not to mention the supplies of Kendal mint cake! Couldn't be more pleased with our stay.

We rented this property for 1 week in July. This was our first visit to the Lake District and also our first experience of rental so didn't know what to expect. Dinny's retreat is absolutely superb and situated on the edge of a working farm in a peaceful and tranquil location. The owners supplied milk, tea & coffee sachets for our arrival which was helpful. I have recommending this property to friends and would definitely return here if we decide to visit the area again.
July 2013
This was our first visit to the Lake District & also the first time we had booked a cottage, and we're so glad we did. Dinny's is in a very peaceful location with lots of wildlife and even though it's on the edge of a working farm, there's no disturbance from machinery or anything. It's been renovated to a very high standard and is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The owners even provide complimentary toiletries and milk, coffee etc., for your arrival. If we ever decide to holiday in the area again we would definitely return to Dinny's.
