The cottage was full of character and so peaceful.

We really loved both the cottage and the tiny hamlet it was located in. It was a really lovely and quiet location and we enjoyed reading the story about Edie which the current owner had taken the trouble to write, it was really interesting to learn about the history of the cottage. The overall standard of the cottage was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We had a really enjoyable week away.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful; comfortable, warm and a real pleasure to return to each evening. The location was stunning with plentiful walks right from the doorstep. We feel we only scratched the surface of what was available to do in the area and would love to return. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had.

Edie's Cottage was very special and it was a joy to return to after a day spent walking or driving to the coast. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The cottage is well equipped and the welcome pack was much appreciated.

From the first communication we felt we were very welcome. The welcome basket of cake, tea and biscuits and the latest magazine and Whitby Newspaper, all added to the experience. The cottage is an absolute delight, and very cosy and comfortable, and very well equipped. Beck Hole is a charming hamlet, with a smashing pub, the Birch Hall Inn. Good beer, and delicious but simple food. Again, this was a big hit with my fiancee, on her first trip to the UK from Brazil, as she especially liked the pork pie and pickle, with Black Sheep bitter. We will definitely stay there again. All I can say is location, location, location....SUPERB!!
