The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished, and is in a wonderfully quiet location. The one level accommodation is particularly suitable for anyone with mobility issues, and having both bath and shower suits everyone. The proximity to the pub/restaurant is fantastic if you want an alternative to the peace and tranquillity of the lodges. First class holiday accommodation! We would absolutely recommend Elm Lodge to all!

This lodge is set in a wonderful location and is so peaceful and has the advantage of a country pub just a few minutes walk away. The quality of decor, comfort and cleanliness of the lodge is outstanding.
Mrs Glazebrook
June 2014
In a peaceful setting with access to country walks. The hospitality of the owners, nothing was too much trouble we felt. The ambiance of the lodge, with an elderly relative with us we were limited by how much outdoor activity we could do in a day so having such a lovely place to stay made it very enjoyable.
Mr Carter

This is a fantastic place to stay. The lodges are set off the road with ample parking. The pub, although close, was very quiet. Collecting the key was no issue, with a member of staff coming to lodge to show us around on arrival. This is a great location of getting around the Forest of Dean. Gloucester, Monmouth, Hereford are all within easy reach.
Ms Stockton

June 2014
The setting for these lodges is the best I have ever seen. The whole place was beautifully tended and immaculate, the lodges the same. The cleanliness was superb, the facilities excellent , all added together make this a place that I would return to and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. Access to visitor attractions from the Glasshouse is excellent. A wonderful place with wonderful hosts, who also run a great pub with great food. What more could one ask?
Mr Crowson

Warm, cosy and quiet during a stormy weekend. The adjoining pub is perfect, a charming host, helpful well trained staff, great beers, roaring fires and no children under 14 permitted which results in a gentle buzz of relaxed conversation.

A very caring owner who went the extra mile to help my disabled wife and me to have a very good holiday. Highly recommended. Quite simply the best self-catering property and owner we have encountered in 30 years of using this type of property. There was nothing to dislike!
Mrs Weatheritt

We loved the peace and quiet. We chose this holiday for a restful stay, and that is exactly what we got. The bed and bedding was very very comfortable and luxurious. The lodge is of a very high standard, and we just did not feel like going anywhere else once we had settled down in it. Just fabulous. Will recommend to all who need to relax and unwind in luxurious setting. A five star lodge.

The property is in a good location, peaceful and relaxing. We received a nice welcome from the owner and the accommodation was at a good standard. The fact that the pub was in walking distance and served great food was a bonus which meant that none of us had to drive after you had done a hard days walking in the Forest of Dean.
