Formerly a fishing port, the harbour at Ballyvaughan is now mainly used for pleasure craft and sporting activities.
The village lies at the edge of the Burren region on the Southern shore of Galway Bay. The cottages are located in the centre of the village and are within walking distance of all amenities including traditional singing pubs and excellent seafood restaurants.
