Foxholes Barn description

Holiday home
Foxholes Barn is a semi-detached cottage in Farlow. Downstairs is the kitchen with dining area and the shower room, while upstairs is the double bedroom and a sitting room. Outside is off road parking for one car, and a front sitting area, with use of the owner's garden with sitting areas if you wish. Foxholes Barn makes a wonderful romantic base for walkers, cyclists or just to explore the pretty villages and medieval towns of this lovely part of England.

Cleobury Mortimer is a picturesque little town located at the heart of rural South Shropshire. An interesting choice of shops, pubs and restaurants can be found here, though the town is most well known for its unique church and its quirky crooked steeple. The famous heritage site of Ironbridge and its 10 museums is close by, as are the historic market towns of Bridgnorth and Ludlow, which has an amazing castle to explore. The Clee Hills and the Wyre Forest offer superb walking opportunities, and sports enthusiasts of all kinds are well-catered for with the number of horse riding, fishing and golf opportunities available in the local area.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Foxholes Barn is a lovely little property within easy reach of the attractions and towns in this part of Shropshire and those in nearby Worcestershire and Herefordshire. We were made very welcome by the owners who were available if we needed anything, but who left us to enjoy our holiday. We would definitely stay here if we were holidaying in the area again.

The location. It was ideal for seeing the sites and interesting towns and attractions of the area. The fact that there was good dog walking on the doorstep was an added bonus. It was good to see the stars and have total silence at night. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will recommend this cottage to friends.

We had a very pleasant stay at the cosy Foxholes Barn. There were walks aplenty to enjoy and the property is close to one of our favourite little towns, Ludlow. All in all we had a lovely stay and would recommend this property to any couple visiting the area.

The seclusion of the property. We were able to travel across Shropshire quite easily as the property is fairly central to all areas. There was parking for our car without inconveniencing any one else. A big bonus was the continual warmth inside the barn and the availability of hot water all day.
