The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. The owners were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

The cottage was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. It was well-decorated and well-maintained, with a light and airy feel, especially in the living room/kitchen area. The bed was comfortable, with high-quality linen. The owners were friendly and welcoming and provided little extras, like milk, tea, bread, butter and biscuits, which made all the difference. The garden was beautiful and there were always many different types of birds around. Planting around the cottage helped to make it feel very private.

The Garden Retreat is lovely, there is nothing negative to say about this very well designed property. To visit Norfolk, this lovely property fits the bill. The garden is well thought out and is beautiful.

The cottage was described as a garden retreat and that is exactly what it is. A totally up to date conversion of a wooden building into a warm retreat retreat with all mod cons, the silence there is deafening! The windows look out onto a cottage garden - if it hadn't been October, I would have loved to have been able sit out side. The owners were delightful.

The Retreat was small but, as they say, perfectly formed. Set in the garden of the owners it as a little bit of paradise with the lovely garden and the birds. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of town life.

A quiet retreat off the beaten track with a lovely, well kept garden and good dog walks. Overall, an excellent first time short break!

A beautiful cottage, the perfect size for my partner and I and our dog. In a fantastic location for walking and amenities. An all round excellent property. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating with any requests. We would definitely return and I would recommend this to my family, friends and any couples looking for a relaxing getaway.

Garden Retreat was excellently placed for exploring Suffolk and Norfolk, a short drive from the village shop, a nice pub and some wonderful walks. It was very quiet so not disturbed at all. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, supplying lots of information for us, and even a welcome pack for our dog!

The owners are a charming couple who couldn't have been more helpful. The Garden Retreat really is quite simply that; a retreat from the bustling lives we all lead. Gladly recommend this delightful cottage to others.

Our hosts gave us a wonderful welcome. As advertised the property was small, but cosy, comfortable, and immaculate throughout. Set in a very attractive garden with a variety of birds. Everything we needed had been cleverly fitted with a loving attention to detail, there was even a box of emergency toiletry supplies. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pans, knives and crockery, etc. We intend to return.

Beautiful area, peaceful retreat, warm welcome.
December 2014
property is set within owners garden. They are very helpful and polite. Property is best suited to 2 adults plus 1 pet , otherwise is a little on the small side. Is very good for peaceful holiday. Everything is of good quality and in good condition. The bathroom/w.c. is on the small side so anybody of big stature might find it a squeeze. Was a very good position for touring the area.
