Glanrafon description

Holiday home
Glanrafon is a detached cottage on the banks of the River Clwyd in the small North Wales hamlet of Melin-y-Wig near to Bala and Ruthin. The cottage sleeps five people and has one double bedroom which leads through to a twin and a single room, along with a family bathroom on the ground floor. Also in the cottage are a sitting room with a solid fuel stove and a fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar. Outside is off road parking and a one acre meadow with a summerhouse and outdoor furniture. Set in beautiful North Wales countryside, Glanrafon is a superb base for a peaceful holiday or for discovering the majestic scenery that is all around.

The hilltop town of Ruthin lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. The town is picturesque with attractive half-timbered buildings, mainly clustered around St Peter's Square.

The North West of England has something for every discerning traveller. Whether it is the fabulous sandy beaches of its famous seaside resorts or the historic backdrop of some of the country's oldest cities, it has something for everyone.

May 2016
The cottage is beautifully presented and in a gorgeous location. We loved the stream in the front garden and had hours of fun playing pooh sticks! The cottage had everything we needed and more. We have stayed in lots of different cottages in Wales and this one is by far the best. We will definitely be booking for next year.
October 2016
We stayed in Glanrafon for a long weekend in Oct 2016. What can i say.... It's a stunning little cottage, the kind you see on a box of chocolates. With it's own little river at the front the cottage is in a very peaceful place, there wasn't a sound at night, not a sound. On the first night we accidentally locked ourselves out and had to contact the owner to get a spare key, he met us in Ruthin and was such a nice man, he even gave us some ideas on where we could get some food in Ruthin. We are currently planning our next trip to Glanrafon for early 2017 and can't wait. It was everything we had hoped for and a lot more.
