A very well positioned cottage - only literally round the corner from the local pubs and shops. The perfect base for a long weekend exploring the Lake District.

A lovely house in a very nice location. We were very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return.

Gorse Bank is a good centre for exploring the south west Lake District. It was close to the village and there were two very good pubs. We enjoyed exploring Walney Island and Millom - places we probably wouldn't have visited unless staying at Gorse Bank.

Accommodation was spacious (for 4) and comfortable. The house was warm and cosy. Broughton is a good location for visiting the Lakes, plenty of facilities but far enough away from the tourist hot-spots and with fairly good access to most areas.

Had a wonderful time. Cottage was excellent. Everything we needed was there and some things we did not expect. Owners very thoughtful people. We hope to go back another time.

The house was very well equipped and close to some nice pubs and basic amenities which meant that despite New Year's weekend, we could easily get some bits and pieces we needed. Also the scenic beauties were only some 20 miles away from the cottage. The fireworks display at the town square was absolutely wonderful!
