The property itself is large with lots of seating areas, two conservatories and two televisions. The bedrooms all had en suite facilities and the kitchen is lovely with a conservatory offering a wonderful view across open countryside. Outside there were chickens and goats but best of all was the large indoor heated swimming pool with excellent changing and showering facilities.

Lovely, big cottage, very clean and the pool and hot tub were a bonus! Near to Scarborough and Whitby - would definitely recommend.

The swimming pool was great for the kids, also the location was really good for days out about, and all set in a fantastic landscape. The owners of the property were very friendly and on site if we needed anything.

The accommodation is spacious and homely and the owners are very friendly and approachable if there are any issues. The location is lovely and peaceful but close enough to all the places we wanted to visit.

The views from the conservatory. The size of the property was massive, easy get lost in it. Bedrooms had on suits with good powerful showers. Thank you.

The farmhouse is very spacious, 3 double bedrooms each with spacious en-suites. The huge pool is amazing with newly installed changing room facilities including shower, wc, sink etc. Lots of areas to sit if not wanting to go in the pool. Beautiful countryside position far reaching views yet close to road for easy access around Yorkshire. The farmhouse was big enough for all 16 of us to be in the conservatory area together which was wonderful. Really nice owners on hand if you needed assistance but only really saw them when they were feeding the animals in the field so not intrusive. We would definitely recommend this accommodation, you would not be disappointed.

This was a great place to stay. I took my little dog who visited most of the places we did. We only left her one afternoon when we went into York for a meal. The swimming pool is great we had it to ourselves most of the time and was clean and warm. The hosts were really nice too and the accommodation was spotless, warm and cosy.

A fantastic week in a lovely relaxing spacious cottage, with fantastic views across the fields. The cottage is situated within reasonably short reach of the coast, the moors and access to local towns and the city of York. It was lovely to sit and watch the horses, and farm activities from the sun room. The kids (and the big kids) loved the swimming pool which was a good size and we were lucky enough to have it pretty much to ourselves for the whole holiday. The bedrooms are big and spacious and an en suite in each room was a real bonus. The kitchen was immaculate and the attached sun room made it the hub of the house. The owners were very friendly and struck a nice balance of happy to help while not at all intrusive.

A beautiful property, the kids loved the swimming pool and Hartswood Farm was excellent for the dog. The owners were very welcoming.

We received a warm welcome from Rosie on arrival and were delighted with the spacious accomodation with its choice of two large lounges, lovely kitchen diner, formal dining area and a conservatory with wonderful views over the countryside, goats and chickens. All the bedrooms had ensuites, what a bonus, and the beds were very comfy indeed. The swimming pool was wonderful and a fabulous size. The changing facilities and shower were pristine. All in all we loved this place and had a fabulous holiday as did our dog Penny.

We booked Hartswood Farm as we wanted somewhere for the family to stay where we could spend time together, but also have some space and privacy. We also wanted somewhere that welcomed dogs. Hartswood Farm was absolutely perfect. It is spacious, with several separate areas for sitting and dining. Also two large TVs and a fabulous, well equipped kitchen. All rooms are en suite and the beds are very comfortable. There are beautiful views and my little granddaughter loved going out to see the animals. We were able to use the caravan field to let the dog run and play with her ball. She was in her element. Rosie and her husband were perfect hosts in that they were happy to offer help and advice but we're not intrusive. Home made cakes were provided on arrival which were very much appreciated. Hartswood is well situated to visit many attractions and leaflets are provided to help you choose. I would recommend that you stock up on supplies as to get to the nearest shop you do have to drive. I can't praise Hartswood enough and would love to return. I have recommended it to many friends who are wanting to book holidays with their families/friends.

We stayed here for a week and it was very enjoyable. There was 5 adults and two children. The house was very roomy and the three bedrooms all had ensuite. The only down side to the bedrooms was the family room which didn't have a wardrobe. The downstairs accommodation was very spacious, large kitchen diner, living room with dining area and conservatory. There where two little snug areas. There was also a conservatory off of the kitchen and most evening we sat there just looking over the farm area and open countryside. There was a downstairs toilet as well. The owners Rosey and Trevor were very welcoming and on arrival there was a plate of homemade cakes and milk in the fridge. We used the pool every day which was nice and warm and the children enjoyed it. Also they loved the goats, horses and dogs. There was plenty of games, cds etc to borrow. There are various interesting places in the area to visit i.e. Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, Whitby, Scarborough, North Yorkshire Railway, and of course the Norfolk Yorkshire Moors. We ate at two of the local pubs where the food was good, The Ham and Cheese and the Dawnay Arms.

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Hartswood Farm. The farm has loads of space and is ideal for an extended family with 2 lounge areas and 2 snugs so perfect for anyone wanting their own space. The conservatory provides yet more seating area with views of open countryside, pigmy goats, horses and pigs, so ideal for young children. The swimming pool provided entertainment for the children when the weather was bad. Trevor and Rosie were most accommodating and provided us with a plate of home bakes on arrival. The house is really well heated ideal for cold winter nights. We will be back sometime in the future.
