Honeysuckle Cottage was not only a great location for getting out into the wildness of the peaks but also a luxurious retreat to come home to. We also enjoy cooking and this place has a fantastic and roomy kitchen!

A fantastic cottage, beautifully decorated and a great location, my children liked it so much it was hard to get them out of the cottage! Really useful to have books left out with local attractions... The village was just the right size to have all the necessary conveniences, and also has a good children's playground.

We really felt welcome in the cottage. The owners have definitely gone the extra mile to make their guests comfortable. We were only there for a few nights but would have loved to have stayed longer.

Honeysuckle Cottage was lovely, comfortable and cosy. We were provided with everything we could possibly need, including a very welcome basket of treats when we arrived. There was constant hot water, the beds were very comfortable, the TV worked and there was a good stock of DVDs. I would highly recommend this cottage. The village of Longnor is very nice, surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely walks and within easy driving distance of Leek and Buxton.

Highest spec' cottage we have stayed in. Although a small car parking space was available there was plenty of parking in the village generally close by which is not always the case. The Cheese Makers Pub just down the road is currently serving good food. The Villagers were friendly and helpful.

We really loved staying at Honeysuckle Cottage, it was really homely and warm, and had everything we needed and more. It is obvious the owners are thoughtful and have it ready for guests as they would like it for themselves, they prioritise what matters which is often not the case! I hope to return, and will happily recommend to others!

Lovely, comfortable and homely cottage. Excellent welcome pack for us on arrival, and great advice on the local area from the owners. Good walks from the doorstep. Handily placed for cycling the peak district trails. Nice village with 2 good cafes and good fish and chip shop.

Lovely cottage set in the heart of the peak district. Great attention to detail, lovely kitchen, everything well equipped and stocked, wood for a week, all kitchen utensils you need, maps, local information aplenty. Beautiful clean bed in a 5 star bedroom, lovely bathroom. Great for a couple or a family up to four. The cottage was well heated in the depth of winter, with a lovely living room and warm hearth. Tastefully decorated warm cosy, we felt instantly at home. Longnor is a lovely village, a great destination for local walks, and there is Dovedale, Arbor Low, and the villages of Bakewell and Ashbourne to visit all within 35min drive away, All in all an ideal cottage to explore the peak district and enjoy a getaway. We would definitely recommend to friends. Our host made us feel really welcome and we were greeted with a basket of tasty goodies and clear directions. We were sad to leave.
