Isfryn Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
This characterful property was originally built in Georgian times and has since achieved a Grade II listed status. It is extraordinarily spacious, with enough bedrooms to sleep groups of up to 22 people. One of the main features of the house must be the magnificent dining room which has a table to seat 20; perfect for a large celebration. With a large sauna and a whirlpool bath, this property can turn a holiday into a truly luxurious break.

Caernarfon is one of the most historical towns in the United Kingdom: there are few others who can claim to have been continually inhabited since Stone Age times. Evidence of its history is most evident in the famous Caernarfon Castle, which began its construction in 1283 as a fortress, a seat of government and a home for royalty. The town itself is the site of many events and festivals throughout the year, such as the UK Strong Man Competition, the Caernarfon Festival and meetings of the North Wales Automobile Club. The Welsh Highland Railway offers trips through the region, where you can begin to fully appreciate the splendour of the region and you can take a boat out on a fishing trip from the local harbour. The town itself is well-served by restaurants and shops and its close proximity to the local beaches offer the chance to get the best of coast and country.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Excellent value for money! Lovely thick walls so couldn't hear a thing when in your own room. Fab Christmas tree to feel more festive. Nice little touches with shampoo, etcetera in the rooms. On the whole a great place to come and spend time with loved ones.

We had a wonderful time at this house, it was large and spacious with plenty of room for our family and 2 dogs. We loved the small garden where we enjoyed a barbecue and the dogs could sit on the decking. The views and sunsets across the bay were breathtaking.

Plenty of space for our family which ranged in ages from 9yrs to 70+ with a viewing platform feature which was thoroughly enjoyed by all ages with its stunning views of Menai Straits etc. Bike storage was particularly appreciated and it might be worth mentioning this in the property description.

This is a very good place, great for large groups. It has some very nice features like the spa bath and sauna. It is very well placed in the town, nowhere is that far a walk and it is on a wonderful cobbled street within the old town walls. All in all we were very pleased with this property, and would definitely go there again for a family get together and I would recommended it to anyone.

The property offered everything I had looked for. It's difficult to find a property that can accommodate 16-18 persons but Isfryn passed with flying colours. There was ample room for all in bedrooms, dining room and general living space. The property was very well 'kitted out' and it was a joy not to have to buy little extras. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting to cater for a large group. Thanks also to Sykes Cottages for offering a hassle free booking system with helpful and well informed staff.
Miss Parkes

The size of the house exceeded expectations, leaflets about local attractions were very helpful, as was the dishwasher.

May 2005
The property was excellent for a big party. It is difficult to get anywhere to sleep so many and be of such high standard. Everbody was catered for even the young children. The view from the garden was beautiful. The property was in a fantastic location for touring North Wales. All 14 of us had a brilliant time and hope to come again.
October 2016
Plenty of space for everyone. Great views of the Manai straits from from the wall and some bedrooms. Handy for the town and harbour areas. Dog friendly

April 2005
I found booking the cottage very easy to do online. The house was ideal for family gatherings and provided us with more than enough space. The location of the house within the castle walls was brilliant and all local amenities just yards from the front door, Isfryn had everything we wanted and more especially the raised look-out in the garden had lovely views over Caernafon. We all had a wonderful time and will definatly be recommeding it to family and friends.
August 2013
We stayed here for a week in August with 3 other families. In total there was 20 in our group ranging from 7 to 55 yrs old. Everyone was catered for - playstations for the younger as well as free WIFI for the teenagers. There were televisions in most room. The kids had great fun in the Jacuzzi and the adults enjoyed the Shauna. Overall the house was very well equipped. The house itself is a little dated but suited fine to the rough and tumble of all the age groups. The bedroom were very comfortable. Lovely small garden out the back with a large BBQ. As the previous person said there was a fantastic view from the back wall. Would highly recommend staying here. We will definately return.
May 2010
We couldn't go to our original choice cottage due to the property being unavailable close to our holiday date. Sykes cottages were fantastic at offering an alternative, giving us time to consider and change our arrangeements and helping us, making the significant disappointment and problems much easier. The owner was clearly very understanding and that was our experience once there. The house suited our needs, the 'balcony' had a fabulous view and was used even in March. Sauna was enjoyed by the younger members of the party. The beds were particularly comfortable, views from upper rooms stunning, nearness of shops, cafe's pubs etc excellebt. the morning walks to the nearby swing park exercised the dog and kept the toddler happy. Kitchen very well equipped. Our only issue was the weight of the self closing doors (obviously fire regs) caused the older members of the party problems and presented an interesting challenge to the catering members of our large group when transporting food/cutlery/drinks etc from kitchen to dining room. loads to recommend it and very accurately described. We would all book with Sykes again. Also, we felt it was well priced and we had value for money.
