The location of the cottage was great, close to the village and the mountains and hills. The views of the surrounding scenery were lovely. The cottage was warm and cosy and the kitchen and bathroom were very clean.

Lovely cosy accommodation for two (and a cocker spaniel). A fabulous base to explore the Lake District by foot.

Absolutely loved our stay. We will definitely be coming back. The best getaway we've had so far. Everyone is so lovely in the area. We'll probably stay for longer next time. The property was a perfect cosy size and easy to maintain. I want to be back there already!

In a lovely location, we didn't move the car all week and it was a short walk to the village with everything you need. The mountains were on your doorstep. A cosy cottage.

The holiday cottage was well suited to our needs and gave us a great base from which we could explore the Lake District. The cottage was in a nice clean condition throughout and we were able to get it nice and warm on the cold nights. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The location of the cottage was great as you were close to the village but the countryside was on your doorstep. Perfect accommodation for a couple and a well behaved dog who enjoyed the walks.

It was a wonderful location and a beautiful little place to come at the end of a long walk. Thank you very much!

This is in fact Juniper HAYLOFT (the cottage is next door). It is a one bedroom two level barn style conversion with great views and easy access to the fells but just five minutes from the village bus stop (we do not have a car). The facilities are modern and well maintained and benefit from good lighting and excellent heating so that it could be used out of season. Remember that the main light switch in the bedroom is on the other side of the room from the bed! There is no WIFI and mobile coverage is a tad sporadic

Went on a weeks stay at this cosy Grasmere cottage. The location of the cottage is ideal for Grasmere (10 minute walk max), and also for the surrounding areas in the lakes. The cottage is open plan downstairs with a living room and kitchen combined, leading through to a downstairs washroom with toilet and shower. Upstairs is one large bedroom, very nice but with a low sloping ceiling. The cottage has a joint courtyard with other cottages and has a parking space just outside the cottage for one car. The downside to our holiday (which I hate giving a negative comment) was the cleanliness in parts. The fridge and oven didn't look like they had been cleaned since the last tenant, the windows were dirty inside and out and there were cobwebs in quite a few areas, also the blinds did need a cleaning. Loved the location of this cottage, shame about the cleanliness.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for my 22nd birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It's the perfect size for a small couple like ourselves, and the layout is very basic and functional. It was extremely clean and well equiped except for only a few items which we bought from the shops down the road, so this was not a problem for us. It has a stunning gallery staircase which passes a big bay window; through which you can see the mountains. The ceiling is very low upstairs and slants at either side of the room, so anybody tall enought would have to watch their heads. The only thing we would have liked differently would have been a couch instead of two chairs and also Wifi, but again this did not bother us too much as we where out and about everday. Also the bes covers and pillow cases where silk and personally I couldn't really sleep on these, also the bed is a small double (possibly only a 3/4). Ambleside was a 10-15 minute drive from Grasmere so it was within a good distance to visit for the day, however Grasmere had plenty shops and cafes to visit, not to mention tonnes of walking routes! We walked up to Helms Crag on our last day and the views from the top where just amazing. Overall a lovely stay and we would definitley go back :)
