There are excellent walks from the front door, including the final stage of the Dales Way.

Kentmere Cottage is convenient for outdoor enjoyment, allowing easy access to the central and eastern fells, particularly the High Street range, (named after the Roman road running over the 828 metre summit – the highest point in the eastern National Park), and the much loved Dales Way.

The Kentmere Valley is an acknowledged hub for mountain bikers, whilst those preferring to cycle easier terrain will enjoy the wealth of popular local routes taking in the unspoilt Kentmere scenery. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
