Location good for coast, National Park and York. Absolutely perfect for two youngsters who are steam railway daft! The close proximity to the line did not disturb at all.

An excellent location, lovely cottage, the kitchen facilities were more than adequate. The attic bedroom and bathroom were truely superb, with a wonderful view of the castle on one side and the steam trains on the other. Had a wonderful stay and would return.

The cottage in general was a lovely property - it was made more so by the Christmas decorations being displayed which made for a very warm welcome. The property was clean, well-equipped and beautifully situated. Highly recommended.

We loved this holiday. The accommodation was perfect, very well equipped, plenty of room and ideally situated. We had lovely days out and a couple where we didn't have to use the car at all. The house was very comfortable and we were able to quickly and easily relax in it. I would recommend it and hope to return.

We all loved living next to the railway. Every time a train passed we had the grandchildren racing to the window. The cottage was also well placed for the shops etc.
January 2014
The cottage was clean comfortable and in an excellent position for seeing all the trains come in and out of the station. Lots to see and do in the area other than the trains.
December 2013
We found the cottage very comfortable , the service was very good , the information about key collection was good , the location of the cottage is excellent especially for the steam trains . It is in a good location for the North York moors Pickering is a lovely town to base yourself it is very dog friendly with pubs allowing them inside with you ,our 15 year westie loved it ( he thinks he's allowed in all the time now !) .

The cottage was very well equipped and in a great location to enjoy the delights of Pickering. Penthouse suite fantastic. The owner rang us direct to give us information on key collection etc and we advised to ring them if there were are problems. Word of warning for those taking a dog the courtyard at the back is not enclosed and dogs can wander off.
