Llanbrynmair Log Cabin description

Holiday home
Caban Gwdihw is a superb detached holiday home, on the edge of the village of Llanbrynmair, 11 miles from Machynlleth. This single-storey log cabin sleeps six people in two en-suite double bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes, and there's a twin bedroom and separate bathroom available. The cabin also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside there's off road parking for three cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio, hot tub and furniture. Caban Gwdihw is an excellent base for exploring the area.

The village of Llanbrynmair is situated between Carno and Machynlleth in Powys, Mid Wales. In nearby Carno there's the remains of a roman fort adjoining the churchyard, and the market town of Machynlleth has a 19th century clock tower, specialist shops, pubs and cafes, as well as regular street markets held every Wednesday.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

The lodge was beautiful and really comfortable. The hot tub was very relaxing and a great addition. The stunning views complemented the whole thing and we've already planned to bring the family back!

We had a really relaxing break the log cabin was lovely. Steve greated us on our arrival and showed us everything we needed to know about the cabin, we had everything we could have possibly needed and more. Set in a beautiful, peaceful position on the owners land you feel like you are miles from anywhere, it really is a great place to unwind and get away from it all. The cabin is very clean and tidy and that spacious we were pleasantly surprised as the photos really don't do it justice, then with the enclosed garden for the dog and hot tub for us everyone was happy. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Steve and Eilleen, the owners. Very friendly people. Helpful and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Good, honest people! When I asked how far the nearest shop was for a razor, Eilleen went out of her way to get me one from her house to save us an 18 mile trip! Absolutely stunning place! We booked this weekend break and travelled as two couples with 2 dogs. Cabin in very spacious even with the dogs and the facilities are perfect. Everything you would need so it was like home from home! Kitchen was kitted out with everything you would need to make decent dinners including cutlery, crockery etc. Views from the French doors were stunning. So tranquil and quiet. The only noise was the noise we made and the odd sheep. En suite bathrooms were better than my own at home! Plenty of red hot water and showers were great with good water pressure. Being set in 19 acres, it was lovely to wander down to the river where the dogs had a swim followed by a toast by the log burner inside. Very cosy. The hot tub was amazing. Even in the rain! We went to Hafren forest which wasn't too far and equally breathtaking. Overall it was a very welcomed break and we will definitely be returning. Hidden gem of Wales Thank you!
