Located in North Wales in the Conwy Valley within the Snowdonia National Park, Rowen is a tiny hamlet comprising of pretty whitewashed cottages and stunning views. Rowen is a favourite with walkers and ramblers who explore the surrounding moorland and countryside. The Roman Road, which passes above Rowen, leads past many sites of historical interest including the Maen-y-Bardd, a megalithic burial chamber that dates back to 3,500BC. Set high on a hill, it offers some spectacular views along the valley as well as giving evidence of some of the earliest settlements in the area. A little further along you will find the standing stones of Bwlch y Ddeufaen, which carry an estimated date of around 2,000BC. Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is only a short drive away. Conwy has its own castle and Roman walls that almost completely encircle the town. Here you will find Plas Mawr, one of the best preserved medieval townhouses in the UK. As well as numerous National Trust properties, there are also stunning beaches on which to enjoy a variety of water sports, the famous Bodnant Gardens, Victorian Llandudno and the village of Betws-y-Coed, also known as ‘the Gateway to Snowdonia'.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautifulvalleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

It was literally a home from home experience. We wanted for nothing and everything was catered for. I have no complaints about this accommodation and would happily return.

A fabulous location so close to many lovely tourist locations in North Wales. A beautiful cottage which was well equipped, lovely and clean. The property has the most comfortable beds too! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for an idyllic quiet break away.

The cottage was spacious and in a beautiful location. The views surrounding the cottage were spectacular. Recommendations of things to do and places to visit, which were left in the cottage were extremely helpful. We were able to visit many places of interest easily.

This was our first time in a holiday cottage and we were not disappointed. The online photos belied the large lounge and the spacious bedrooms and bathroom. We were also happy to be able to bring our two small dogs along. We loved the peaceful stillness of the surrounding fields and hills, which we were able to enjoy while sitting out on the patio.

A lovely setting; nicely converted farm buildings on the site; space for the dog; the animals and playground which the 3-year-old appreciated; close proximity to Conwy and lots of other towns and attractions. A lovely restful atmosphere and very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely pub in Rowen!

We had a fantastic time. It was a great base to get out, explore and make day trips to various areas in North Wales. The kids loved it that we had to drive through Conwy Castle everyday to get to and from the cottage. Our 3 young children enjoyed having access to the play area in front of the cottage. And the peace and quiet was great for all of us. The owners were both friendly and helpful, but also non intrusive and you wouldn't know they were there on site.

Would highly recommended this and the adjoining properties. Great base for all of North Wales, whatever you want to do.

The cottage was in excellent condition. There was also an impressive collection of DVDs and books (most of them new). We also saw the owners out and about and they were lovely people.

The location is lovely and to have the use of the paddock for the dogs was ideal.

If you want the feeling of the deep countryside but do not want to feel you are miles away from habitation, Llys Y Wennol is for you. Conwy is a few miles down the Road, as are others. This Cottage allows you the peace to relax and enjoy a fully equipped Cottage. The Owners are always on hand should there be a problem, problems aside, you really would not know they are there. The winding, narrow roads to get to the Cottage, reinforces the notion, your 'seclusion' in the Countryside. We had the wonderful weather of this Summer, but even if was overcast as already mentioned you are in reach of Places. The Pub in Rowen is excellent and they have a Carnival each Year.

we had the most wonderful walk through the hills of Rowen, beautiful! Llys Y Wennol is a beautiful en luxury place to return to. Especially the kitchen is fully equiped. Castle Conwy is a 10 minute drive, the Snowdon train in Llanberis 40m.
