We love this end of the Llyn Peninsular and have been holidaying here for approximately 45 years! The cottage was very comfortable warm and homely, and we certainly hope to return again in the near future. An added bonus was the small enclosed back garden with patio furniture, large picnic table and benches - very pleasant indeed. Feel very refreshed after our holiday at Lon Goch!

What a lovely place in a lovely spot, and lovely people. Particularly liked the character of the Cottage, it was very tastefully decorated and furnished, everything we needed was there. Very picturesque out of village location, and we were lucky with fabulous weather. We hardly saw the owners but when we did they were very helpful and easy going. Were 2 female friends happy to share a bedroom, but also this Cottage would be perfect for a couple or a family of three. Thanks, we had a wonderful break.
Mrs Brace

The location for walking the Llyn peninsula is ideal. The property is off the beaten track and quiet which is what we wanted. The weather was spectacular and free range eggs were available. The Owners, who live next door to the property, were very hospitable and helpful without being intrusive. Overall a great holiday!

Once again we have spent a most relaxing holiday in the cottage (having stayed last year). We know the area well, and feel very much at home, both in the cottage, and in the surrounding areas. We hope to visit again next year!

Lovely place to visit the Llyn Peninsula, so quiet and remote with great and quick access to beautiful walks, views and venues. Lovely places to eat and drink. Carol and Steve are great hosts and really friendly and helpful - the cottage is spotless with a vase of flowers to welcome guests. Highly recommend it especially to dog walkers.

The owners were so friendly and helpful. We had chance to really relax despite some 'interesting' weather. Our dog was made hugely welcome and we even got to see one of the ewe's lambs being born. We will definitely be returning to Lon Goch without question.

October 2010
This is an exceptional rural property with superb views across the hills. It is close to both north and south coast by car and there is plenty of walking from the property itself. This was one of the most welcoming and well-equipped holiday cottages I have stayed in and a real credit to the owners who did everything possible to settle us in and ensure we had a good stay. In fact it was like staying with friends. I could not recommend this property more highly - it was great.

When we arrived at the cottage we were met by Carol,( and her lovely collie 'Cady'), who showed us in, and explained where things were and how everything worked. It was a beautiful cottage.Tastefully furnished and decorated all through, and very spacious and clean. The garden area was enclosed, which was wonderful for our dog, as she spent most of her days (in between excursions), lying in the sun. We also met Carol's husband Steve, who invited us to meet his lovely animals, and chickens, who supplied eggs that could be purchased. We could not fault the cottage, or the area, as we absolutely loved the peace and quiet with no main roads, just the sounds of the countryside.....absolute bliss! Through the week, (although not intrusive at all) we found Carol and Steve to be wonderful hosts, and so kind and helpful, even drawing us maps explaining how to get to different places. We would rate this holiday very of the best, and hope to return again very soon. Thank you so much Carol and Steve.

This fairly modern cottage is attached to the owners home. There is a separated garden area with picnic table. A small courtyard immediately to the rear of the house provides opportunity for barbecues (weather permitting). On the ground floor is a fairly large lounge, with leather three-piece suite and flat screen TV with Freeview channels. Separated from the lounge is a kitchen/diner, well equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave oven and washing machine. Ample work spaces and a four seater table complete the equipment. It is not unknown for us to wash all crockery and cutlery before use but clearly the owners have high standards and I suspect everything went through their own dishwasher between guests. Off the kitchen is an enclosed staircase to the only bedroom upstairs, which has a double and single bed. A "walk-in" style wardrobe gives plenty of room for clothing and suitcases etc. Off the bedroom is a very modern shower-room, with a spacious shower enclosure. Upstairs is the only caution we would mention for two features. It is a dormer style bedroom, with low ceilings, velux window and dormer window. You may not have a problem but there was more than one occasion when we banged our heads! Not seriously, but we joked that cycle helmets would come in handy! The other mention is actually a very minor thing, the floor slopes towards the staircase as it lands at the first floor and that can be a little disconcerting when starting to descend. You do get used to it though. All in all, this was a beautifully presented cottage in a particularly quiet part of the peninsula. You definitely need your own transport, whilst the local lanes are very quiet and suitable for dog walking, the village of Sarn is around 1 mile away and offers just a small general store and a couple of pubs (not used by us). Larger shops can be found in Abersoch and the nearest supermarket (ASDA) in Pwllheli.

Surronding beaches are fab. Owners made us very welcome. Very relaxing place for a holiday.
December 2011
Cottage was well planned out, comfortable, warm and good facilities. The owners were welcoming . The location was very rural which suited us, but did mean you had to travel on narrow lanes to get to places of interest on the Lleyn Peninsula. The cottage had that nice homely feel to it.
December 2012
Relaxing, very comfortable, spotlessly clean accommodation, beautiful gardens and owners very attentive to our needs. A good central location for visiting surrounding area i.e., Aberdaron -which we know and love - Abersoch, Portmadoc etc., We loved our stay but the only very small criticism (if we can call it such) was the BBQ facilities - possibly a more open and relaxing area in a tiny part of the garden would have been nice ! Very closed in, outside the back door! Fortunately we did'nt need that facility as the weather was not warm enough!! Otherwise we had a lovely holiday and look forward to returning in the future !!
August 2013
Amazing location, truly breath taking. As wildlife enthusiasts we couldn't of wished for a better setting. Owners were very helpful and went out their way to insure we saw all we could as far as coast line and scenic areas go. The House itself was lovely, very clean, comfortable and spacious and we was made to feel very welcome in their home. We were very lucky with the weather which enabled us to make the most of the owners lovely garden and animals. On a couple of occasions the owners joined us for an evening walk with their two dogs. Their dogs and our dog got on really well which added to our overall enjoyment. They took us to places we never would of found by ourselves even with a sat nav. We was so grateful for all they done for us, and they helped made our amazing week, incredible! We will be returning!
August 2014
Lon Goch cottage is an ideal location for a holiday on the Llyn peninsular. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The cottage provides all the facilities you need for a holiday. It is located centrally on the peninsular making all locations accessible, and some locations are stunning. Free range eggs available too! I would highly recommend!
Mrs Cook and the four little Cooks!
December 2009
It took only five minutes to drive to many beautiful beaches, shops, steam engine railways and supermarkets! Yet you were also surrounded by peaceful and rural settings in all directions. Very close to Anglesey, Caernafon castle too which the kids loved! The owners could not be more kind and helpful and my children declared them "their best friends" by the end of the week. Only place we have ever taken our eldest where he was desperate to stay instead of his usual desperate to go home to his computer!! Definately go back.

This was a fantastic break. My son especially enjoyed seeing and interacting with all the animals. By the end of the week it felt as though we were not paying guests but just visiting friends and we will definitely go again.

Lon Goch Cottage was lovely and in a beautiful location. The owners could not have been more helpful and kind. The enclosed garden was wonderful for our dog as we didn't have to worry about her when we let her out. We had everything we needed to make it feel like a home from home, and everywhere we wanted to visit was not too far away. We will definitely be returning in the near future, as it was such a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and in such a beautiful part of Wales.
