The situation was perfect for touring the area such as going to Clitheroe and Harrogate and of course for walking the footpaths. Area was steeped in very interesting history eg Lime Kilns. I think the cottage should be rated more than 3 stars. I have never stayed in a cottage where there has been such attention to detail regarding the equipment and thought gone in to providing everything for your stay.

This cottage is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, very close to Settle and handy for Malham. The property is cosy, well equipped and the enclosed rear garden is secure for dogs. Its proximity to Langcliffe Park was very handy as half of our party where staying in one of the lodges and there is a 5 minute shortcut to reach the cottage. Will be booking again for sure.

The cottage was beautifully warm and the washing machine and tumble dryer was appreciated as the weather was so wet! The dishwasher was also a god-send with 5 adults - very little hand washing up was needed. The situation was perfect - only a mile to walk into Settle and plenty of walks from the front door.

February 2013
The cottage was very clean, warm & comfortable. It was well equipped with every thing you could think of. They originally said 2 dogs, but Sykes arranged it so that we could take 3. We were very grateful for that, as we struggle to find cottages that take dogs at all. It was close to Settle, what a lovely place that was. We loved the view from the main bedroom.
August 2014
