Marine Terrace description

Holiday home
Marine Terrace is situated in the Shropshire town of Shrewsbury; a three-storey, double-fronted townhouse with direct access to the riverside walks along the River Severn. The property has four bedrooms all equipped with a TV with Freeview, including two king-size double rooms, plus a king-size double room on the second floor and a twin room on the second floor. There are two bathrooms, one on each of the first and ground floors, an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area and there is a second sitting room with a double sofa bed. Outside, there is a first floor decked area with furniture and a 6-seater hot tub, a rear enclosed access garden, as well as a bistro table at the front of the property. There are several car parks and space to load and unload the car nearby. A great base for exploring Shropshire in style, Marine Terrace is great for friends and families alike.

Shrewsbury lies in the heart of one of England's most beautiful counties. Set within a giant loop of the River Severn, it is one of England's finest heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings. Explore the picturesque cobbled alleys and squares or enjoy some of the events and festivals that take place each year, particularly Shrewsbury's 'Summer Season' which caters for every age and interest. The town offers a superb selection of independent and high street shops, along with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Marine Terrace was a wonderful base from which to visit Shrewsbury. The standard of accommodation was excellent - we girls were particularly impressed with the quirky dinning table chairs and funky wallpaper in the bedrooms. The whole house had been beautifully restored and well planned out for a holiday cottage. The house had a great view of the River Seven and was very peaceful, yet we were in walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants. It could not have been better. To top it all off - there was the hot tub!

Lovely spacious house with great view out of windows.Very clean with all mod cons, only criticism I would give is there is no PTO on the hot tub instructions on the notice board, so we knew nothing about sterilisation of the hot tub, the other thing we found was facilities in the kitchen were quite basic, no bread bin, lack of cooking utensils, no dishwasher tablets, so had to go out and buy things, those things aside though, I would still rate it a good house to stay in.

This house is beautiful, it's recently benefited from a major renovation, the entire house is beautifully decorated to a high standard. It is well laid out and has many touches which place it highly in our opinion. It's location is central so everything is within walking distance. The house comfortably sleeps 10 and this is catered for with ample kitchen equipment, cutlery and crockery. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this property, in fact we are all counting down the days. Everything you need is already catered for and we literally needed nothing apart from food and wine! We were so impressed with this property, it's excellent value for money, and the town itself is lovely. With plenty of bars and restaurants, Shrewsbury has plenty to offer.

In a great location, a short walk to all amenities but in a relaxing riverside setting. There were lots of interesting things to do a short drive away. The hot tub was much enjoyed after a busy day.

This is a fantastic property, close to the town, shops and restaurants. The hot tub was great, all the bedrooms are a really good size and the living accommodation is spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

10 of us stayed in this gorgeous house for a friends 40th last summer and it was one of the best weekends I've had. Shrewsbury itself is beautiful but this house was utterly fabulous, beautiful inside, everything you need plus the added luxury of the hot tub!! I'd go back and stay here every month if I could!! Fabulous 5*****

Visited with 7 family members for annual get together. Probably one of the best houses we have stayed in. House is well fitted out, nice bed linen and fluffy towels Great location, easy stroll to town and lovely river walks. Lots of nice pubs and eating places very near. We didn't use the hot tub. Hope to visit again next year.

We are a group of 8 friends who meet up once a year and chose Shrewsbury on recommendation. The cottage was everything the photos displayed, large, comfortable rooms. With the added bonus of the hot tub and of course the fantastic few from the kitchen and bedroom windows. A few minutes walk to the town with plenty places to eat and drink. What more can you ask for. We will be back. x

My family booked this property for the last 2 weeks of July without the benefit of photos. as it was a new listing. Upon arrival our expectations were exceeded. The house on 3 floors has been beautifully renovated, it's tastefully decorated, very comfortable and very well equipped. Everything is brand new, mainly IKEA. We loved it! The location is perfect, just minutes walk to the center of town. Again our expectations were exceeded. We had never been to this area before and Shrewsbury is awesome for all ages. The delightful Tudor architecture, castles, churches, cafes, bars, restaurants, high street shops, independent stores, pedestrian only areas, street musicians, river side the list goes on, what a town!! The best part for us 'parents with teenagers' who don't drive was that they could be independent without us having to be taxi drivers. Apart from the town there's a lot to do within a short distance for the teens, archery, quad biking, karting, falcon center, gardens, stately homes, castles etc etc. The countryside is stunning! The house was perfect, and we loved having 2 sitting rooms. There were a couple of teething problems and I struggled with the Central Heating controls (it was a pretty chilly couple of weeks) we live in the Caribbean so smart CH was a novelty for me! I would recommend this house to anyone and would definitely love to come back!! I already miss the truly awesome river view, the ducks, swans, signets and the double rainbow we saw one evening. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!
