A perfect cottage for visiting York. The accommodation was warm, spotlessly clean and amazingly quiet for somewhere so close to town.

Excellent value for money. Location was great it was on a good regular bus route only minutes into the centre of York. Even using the car was very close to motorway links to Ripon, Selby and all the major shopping parks. Owner friendly and very helpful.

We were visiting family and it was ideal as we had the freedom to relax in the cottage, and also enjoy having our family come to visit us. The cottage was very well equipped and it was lovely to have a welcome pack with tea and biscuits and milk in the fridge.

A well equipped and appointed bungalow in a quiet area of York. There was an excellent bus service to York City centre within 100m, and out of town retail parks within a 5min drive. Hope to return soon.

House was very comfortable, warm and clean. Everything was provided for an enjoyable week. Excellent location to visit York and all of N. Yorkshire. Owner was very helpful and friendly on arrival and has clearly put much work into getting things right. He has done a first class job.

This is the second time we have stayed in Micklegarth and we hope to return next year. The cottage is spacious, airy and comfortable with everything you will need for a holiday stay. Micklegarth is conveniently situated to visit local attractions in this part of Yorkshire; a short bus ride into the wonderful city of York and easy access to the ring road to take you further afield. There is so much to do in the area for all ages and the owner has gone to some trouble to provide oodles of information on where to visit including local eateries and takeaways. We were very fortunate with the weather and took advantage of the lovely peaceful garden, enjoying the evening sun and a glass or two of wine. Suitable for families or couples this is a perfect location for an enjoyable holiday. Batteries are now well and truly recharged and I'm ready to rejoin the rat race!

This property is in the ideal position for a holiday in York; near enough by bus to the city centre but also near to the outer ring road for getting out and about. The house is in a quiet little road, so no traffic to worry about if you have children. Very comfortable, warm and well kept property with everything you need for a break there. Beautiful garden if the weather allows you to get into it! Owner lives nearby so easy to get help if needed and was very welcoming.
