Situated in the peaceful village of Gunnerside and attached to the owner’s home, this terraced holiday cottage is the perfect location for guests looking to enjoy a quiet, romantic break. This beautiful olde worlde cottage forms part of a converted 17th-century mill and is located right on the side of the beck at the base of Gunnerside Ghyll. Set in a courtyard with a large summerhouse, perfect for sitting in and enjoying the views over the private garden, guests are encouraged to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this south facing idyll. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and families too, the village of Gunnerside is set in one of the most picturesque Dales of North Yorkshire which is an area famed for its breathtaking scenery and beautiful walks. Gunnerside is situated in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire and lies between the River Swale and its tributary, Gunnerside Beck, in beautiful Swaledale which forms part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and offers some of the most magnificent views and scenery that the county has to offer. The village offers guests a selection of conveniences including a working smithy/museum, and at the foot of Gunnerside Beck – a public house that serves super local produce. At the south of the village guests will also find the Grade II listed 1830s Gunnerside New Bridge over the River Swale and is a real attraction for walkers. A little further afield but still within easy driving distance, guests will be able to take a trip out to Leyburn, Richmond, York, Yarm and Northallerton which can all be reached within an hour’s drive. Mill End Cottage is comfortable, cosy and very well presented throughout. Packed with original features, beams, exposed stone and an inglenook fireplace, guests will find the cottage warm and welcoming. The kitchen and living room are open plan and can be found on the ground floor. A small staircase then leads up to a super shower room and large double bedroom with views across the Dales and beyond. Another small staircase then leads guests up to the cosy children’s bedroom which is situated on the mezzanine level and is a great use of space.
