As part of the Heritage Coast of Anglesey, this wonderful little village holds an exalted place in Welsh history and is known as ‘the Land of the Prince of Wales' due to its ancient position as the Capital of North Wales between the 9th and 13th Centuries. The village still retains much of its old-world charm and is home to the Church of St Beuno and a picturesque pack horse bridge. There are also a number of craft shops and tea rooms, a charming village pub and a beautiful white sandy beach from which visitors can enjoy views of the stunning Snowdonia mountain range. Newborough Warren and Malltraeth Pool nature reserves are also close by and make interesting places to visit for bird watchers or animal lovers.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

This is our second visit to Min-Y-Don, it was just as good as the first time, we are going to book again for next year at the same time of year. Excellent for walkers and anglers, has spectacular scenery and is central for exploring Anglesey.

The view from the sitting room, front bedroom and the front patio is brilliant, with a pair of binoculars supplied being a lovely touch. Being a dog friendly cottage is good as the area is a dog walkers paradise. The cottage has a real homely feel to it and is really cosy as opposed to a typical holiday let. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone.

A beautiful cottage with outstanding views - the sunset was gorgeous. We didn't watch television just sat on the front looking at the changing tides. Our dog was in paradise, he loved the beach. A very special week.

The scenery was serene with the ever changing tidal river giving us plenty to get enthralled about. The beach is stunning with the tide going out for miles on the golden sands. The sand dunes are an adventure in themselves!! The cottage was very cosy and well appointed with all the home from home items needed. The fires were a welcome delight on a chilly summer evening after a walk and a dip in the sea. Still thinking of Min-y-Don and the beautiful view 3 days later. We would happily return to the beautiful cottage with the stunning beach without hesitation.

We were so pleased we booked this cottage following a recommendation. It is a real home from home and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into everything provided. There's even a bbq for the back patio. The kitchen is really well equipped and there's loads of books and DVDs together with a selection of games. Finishing touches such a pictures everywhere mean it doesn't feel like a holiday home. Bonus is you can bring your dog! Really good views from the sitting room, front bedroom and front patio together with a pair of binoculars provided to watch the wildlife as the cottage is on the banks of a tidal river. This is a dog walkers paradise with plenty of different walks from Newborough Forest about 4 miles down the road to the local beach which is just a short walk away which seems popular with children as well as dogs. Had a really enjoyable relaxing week and thoroughly recommended.
July 2013
We were one of the first to use this cottage. It was very nicely equiped with quality, and comfortable. It is in a lovely location with garden and patio, and not far from the beach. Brilliant walks and bike rides right outside the door. When we needed a bit of help the response was great. I will go again and recommend it.

We spent a lovely week in September at Min Y Don . The weather was not very good but because of its location we were able to take walks to the beach when the weather changed for the better. When the it was bad it was cozy in the cottage , the views of the river out side the door forever changing . What I liked most about the cottage was ,it did not feel like a holiday let . There were lots of personal touches that made it feel very lived in . We loved it . I could not say one bad thing about it . Oh except the photos on the web site did not do the cottage the credit It deserved .
