Mulberry Cottage description

Holiday home
Mulberry Cottage is a detached cottage on the edge of Snettisham in North Norfolk. The cottage sleeps six people and has a double bedroom, a small double bedroom and a twin, along with two family bathrooms. It also has a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking and a rear garden with outdoor furniture. Snettisham has a range of local amenities and the beach is just three miles away, making Mulberry Cottage a lovely holiday home for a family break at any time of the year.

The traditional Norfolk village of Snettisham is characterized by the pretty golden brown houses known locally as "gingerbread houses" due to the colouring of the local iron-rich carr stone used in their construction. The village has a number of convenient amenities including general stores, welcoming inns, good restaurants, a Post Office, a butcher's and a regular bus service to the family-friendly seaside resort of Hunstanton and King's Lynn. There is plenty for all the family here, including Park Farm on the edge of the village, a working farm with year-round activities. An RSPB bird sanctuary is a mile away, and the historic Peddars Way public footpath provides lovely walking near to the village. The impressive house, church and gardens of the Royal Estate of Sandringham is nearby, and just follow your nose to find Norfolk Lavender, England's premier lavender farm, with its charming tearooms and gift shop.

Picturesque rolling Fens, unspoilt beaches, and pretty waterways - East Anglia is a dream holiday destination. Norfolk offers beaches, saltmarshes and quaint villages whilst equally as charming are the coast and countryside of Suffolk.

The owners of Mulberry Cottage could not have been friendlier and more helpful. The cottage was so comfortable and the garden was lovely for relaxing in after a good day out. It is a good base for seeing the Norfolk coast, which is stunning. Would certainly go back.

We spent a lovely week at Mulberry Cottage. The owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. If anyone is bringing a dog, there are super walks virtually next to the cottage which makes life easy in the mornings. There are also super places to visit in every direction from Snettisham.

The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped and a credit to Sally and Meg.They made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of tips of where to visit and places to eat.The garden was as stated "fully enclosed" ( which isn't always the case!) so we were able to let buster out without having to worry about him escaping! There were also some lovely walks to take him on within walking distance of the cottage.Snettisham is in a good location and a lovely village. There's plenty of places to visit all within easy reach and the beaches at heacham and Hunstanton are lovely. We had a really lovely week and can't wait to return to mulberry cottage next year.

I can't believe the 1st reviewer stayed in the same cottage! The owners are so friendly & pleasant without being intrusive. It is a relatively new operation & they welcome any ideas or suggestions. Knowing the village, & using as a base for Norfolk, very well for almost 20 years we were not disappointed although the road noise was more than expected but it is only a local road, the A149 bypass is meant to be used by through traffic. The house is so spacious yet cosy, the furniture is incredibly comfortable. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't find. Our friends were on their first visit to Norfolk and, after 16 years of holiday letting themselves, thought this to be a fabulously renovated & equipped property. Over the years we have found some have welcome packs, some don' never used to be expected & may be reflected in the cost. A nice find was that the starter pack for the fire was not requested to be replenished as some do so 'swings & roundabouts'. We usually avoid dog friendly properties when possible and take cleaning cloths just in case none provided. We try to leave as we find as much as possible, this was found immaculate! We will return if we can find a slot in this bursting calendar! Hope you find time to carry on with your plans, ladies. Congratulations on your deserved successful venture, it's a credit to your hard work. Good luck and thank you, it's beautiful.

Delightful cottage which was immaculate and had everything we could possibly want from a holiday cottage. Even poo bags and bowls for the dogs! Was so nice to have a secure garden for Alfie & Millie who were able to come in and out as they pleased without us worrying and you'd even thought of putting a bolt on the bottom of the gate as extra security. Just 2 minutes away from a lovely walk along an old railway track and round fields which was a bonus and made the holiday, we could have gone for miles and miles. I actually enquired about changing our booking because of a very negative review that someone had posted earlier on. Thank goodness we didn't, we were very very pleased with the whole Mulberry Cottage experience. Will certainly return again and already recommended you to friends at dog club who are interested. Sally and Meg very welcoming people and we wish you every success.
