Pennyseorach Farm Pet-Friendly Cottage description

Holiday home
This charming four bedroom stone-built semi-detached farmhouse is set in a superb rural position at the end of a 3/4 mile track, on the southern tip of the Kintyre Peninsula, and dates back more than 100 years. Surrounded by beautiful farmland, and offering easy access to superb beaches, walking and cycling opportunities from the doorstep, this is an idyllic holiday destination. The Dunaverty links 18-hole golf course is two miles away (clubs available to hire from the owner), and the attractions and amenities of Campbeltown are just nine miles away.

The pretty village of Southend and the sandy beach of Dunaverty Bay sit at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula, on the outermost West coast of Scotland. Southend's 18-hole golf course is located between the village and the bay in a splendid setting with amazing sea views. Southend offers its own shop with tea room, and a Post Office conveniently located in the pub! Two miles south of the village you will find Sanda Island, which can be reached by taking a boat trip from Campbeltown, also known as 'The Wee Toon', which offers shops, two supermarkets, a leisure centre with swimming pool and library, a heritage centre, museum, and the oldest operating cinema in Scotland. Nearby are the 40 mile long Kintyre Peninsula hills, forests, lochs, rivers, sea views, sandy beaches, archaeology and fascinating history.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

The most impressive experience about the cottage was the views, they were gorgeous, you could just relax looking over the sea view. I definitely will recommend the cottage to family and friends. Thanks to the owners for going out of their way to be so welcoming and friendly.

Location is fantastic - spectacular coast line. The peace and quiet with the option to go walking, fishing, diving or golf. Great owners next door, there if needed but not intrusive. Warm and comfortable throughout especially the double beds - not slept so well or for so long in an age. Would go again.

The sea view from the cottage was breathtaking! We enjoyed the fabulously quiet isolation of the location and having the beach to ourselves all week. Birds, seals, otters and deer to be seen locally. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is well equipped and homely. We all wanted to stay and were sad to leave. Highly recommend this beautiful area of Scotland and this cottage for a large family or group of friends looking for tranquil retreat.

big family kitchen for hearty breakfasts and family meals and plenty of space for children/teenagers to lounge about even in wet weather as sky TV with plenty of videos to watch. Great walks along the beach down to Southend and further. Terry and Linda were very understanding when we kept locking ourselves out as other members of the party kept locking the door and taking off with the keys!..this is the kind of place where you actually never have to lock your doors but we townies kept forgetting this. Relaxing with a big R great for all ages 9yrs to 90! NB go slowly down the drive if you have a posh well laden car! and ask Linda for some of her scrummy turkey eggs!
