The holiday was a family get together to celebrate my Mum's 70th birthday. The cottage was a delight -spotlessly clean, modern and with stunning views. There was enough room for the whole family, 10 adults, 2 children, a baby and 2 dogs! The kitchen is well equipped- plenty of cutlery, crockery, pans and cookware. There are 3 very spacious bedrooms, a smaller double and small box room with 2 beds. The cottage is isolated- you have to drive to get even the basics as there are no shops nearby. We loved visiting Aysgarth Falls, Hawes and the Wensleydale Creameries, Bolton Castle and the Forbidden Corner. The dogs enjoyed playing in the garden and the countryside walks from right outside the cottage. The communication with the owner was friendly and informative. We did fall lucky with the weather and I'm not sure if we would have enjoyed our stay as much if we had rain but I would definitely return.

This was our second visit to this lovely house with beautiful views in a lovely position. It was warm, clean and very well equipped. There is plenty of room to spread out in the house and the garden is very suitable for our large dog, being fully enclosed. There are plenty of walks right on the doorstep. The location is perfect for seeing the Dales. We can't recommend this house and area enough. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your house.

We have had a fantastic weekend at Pinehurst. The house is beautiful and extremely comfortable. The scenery is magnificent. The North Yorkshire Dales are a part of England that we have never visited and we all feel like we have discovered a new holiday location. A huge thank you to the owner, who has been extremely helpful, not only with information about the house, but also about places to visit and things to do. Thank you so much and we will be back.

Everything. Well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable beds. Plenty of living space and especially liked the open plan downstairs rather than a separate kitchen.

This superb property is in an excellent location. There are lots of walks in the area and if you choose to drive to places there is much to see. The property is very special and we felt at home straight away. It's a big cottage but manages to give a cosy feel which all my family thoroughly enjoyed. Everything about our weekend was special.

The house offered plenty of space for 11 of us with a large garden which the grandchildren played in a lot. Lots to do in the surrounding countryside which is very pretty.

A very comfortable family home with an extremely well equipped kitchen. Particularly loved the log burner between the kitchen and snug. It was great for family gatherings and the 2 sitting areas were particularly useful.

A brilliant stay - we will definitely return, the house was just right for our large family. The garden and view was fantastic, the kids made great use of the garden, as did we. We had fabulous weather and dined on the patio every day. We also enjoyed our late meals around the big dining table in the evening. It's a big house with a cosy feel, I truly recommend this house. Fantastic!!!

Pinehurst was spacious and in lovely condition, set in a little hamlet it nestled nicely in a rural location. It was roomy for our family of differing ages, warm and cosy it was relaxing and simply perfect for our birthday celebration weekend. The garden was quiet, peaceful and safe for the children. The views afforded were simply stunning, and the area as we already knew, truly delightful. This area for those who have never been is a must to see.

This is a wonderful cottage for a big group, with a lovely dining area and a big kitchen. There is a really nice outside eating area and more 'wild' garden for kids to play in. The view down the dale is fantastic.

The property was warm and very comfortable. The dining area and kitchen were snug and great for sitting around the table and relaxing. Beds were brilliant and accommodation was well equipped for an excellent week. Some excellent pubs nearby with good beer and food in Aysgarth and Askrigg. Great week!

We had an excellent time at this home (and I use 'home' as opposed to house as it was so very warm and comfortable). The house was immaculate upon arrival and the furnishings and decor throughout are thoughtful and tasteful. I was extremely pleased with such a well appointed kitchen; far more equipment than I'm used to on self catering holidays. The pictures on the site don't do it justice.

A warm, welcoming house. The views from the back of the house are to die for! My family all loved it and our ages ranged from 14 months to 67 years old! We had enough space to stretch out, the kitchen and diner was a particular focus for our family and seemed to be the place that we spent most time together. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact.

The cooker inside and out had baked on grease on the surfaces and cooker trays had not been cleaned after the last use The downstairs toilet had excrement under the toilet bowl rim The toilet door bolt on the doors of the upstairs and downstairs toilet were very difficult to use as the bolt holes did not match the bolts I had to fix the cupboard hinge in the on suit bathroom also the bedside light switch in an upstairs bedroom There were 3 light bulbs missing from the snug ceiling light We could not get a phone signal nor a wifi signal There was not enough bin bags toilet rolls or paper towels We believe in leaving as you find we had to clean and hoover before we left which was 10am in the morning ps supervise your cleaners do your job as manager we paid a lot of money for this holiday

Wonderful cottage in a wonderful part of the country. Much thought had been given to make our stay as comfortable as possible and we had a super time. Would highly recommend this cottage to others.

The location of the house was excellent. It is a great base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. The rental property was generally of a very high standard - plenty of space and mostly well finished with high quality decor and furnishings. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Our large family, 6 adults and 6 children (7 to 16 years) stayed in early April and the house was well furnished, particularly the kitchen but we found that for the numbers of people, there are not enough bathrooms. There is a large double bedroom on the ground floor which has no bathroom and there is plenty of space in there to provide an en suite. The location is quite remote and there are no facilities within reasonable walking distance particularly in the rain which unfortunately persisted for almost the whole week we were there. Walking was a nightmare as all the fields and paths were waterlogged. The large garden and the views are fabulous and will be so much better in the summer. The owner was very helpful before and after our visit. There was no WiFi and no mobile signal for most of us for the week so the older children were devastated at not being able to contact the outside world. There are some lovely places to visit in the area by car, Hawes is a nice village about 5miles west and Leyburn about 10miles East. Aysgarth falls are quite dramatic and the Forbidden Corner is an amazing labyrinth of man made tunnels well worth a visit. All in all the house is good except for the lack of bathrooms and WiFi/mobile signal.

My daugher, mother in law and I rented Pinehurst for a week in July and had different groups of friends staying for a few days during the week. Everyone loved the house snd its facilities but I have to say, for me, the view was the best thing. First thing in the morning I was out there with my cup of coffee and last thing at night I was out there with my glass of wine. A herd of Jersey cows were in a field below the house whilst differnet groups of sheep and cows joined me in the field literally next to where I was sitting. Pinehurst is 1/2 way up one side of Wensleydale with an uninterrupted view of the other side of the valley. My ineptitiude with the security system for keys was no problem at all to the owner who had to help me over the phone. The house - particulalry the kitchen - is kitted out with everything you could possibly want. A truly lovely place to stay. No wonder it is booked so much.

We rented this property for Dad's 80th birthday celebrations. We needed five bedrooms and somewhere not too far away for a short break. We loved everything about the house. Lovely to be able to cook and still hear what was being said in the 'snug' and at the dining table. The double oven was great when doing Sunday dinner for ten and there were more than enough kitchen utensils, cutlery, bowls etc. Even Yorkshire pudding trays. The beds were very comfortable and I can vouch for the 'pull out from under bed' in the smallest room. We have said that we need to have family get togethers on a more regular basis and we would certainly go to Pinehurst again. Excellent.

This house was amazing. So well appointed and in such a great location. Nice 2 mile walk to the pub with great food. Peace and quiet, everything you could need is there (apart from a potato peeler). Log burner great and there was no shortage of hot water even though there was 8 adults. Would go back tommorrow if we could. The oven was a delight to cook on and the whole kitchen diner made for a great social atmosphere. We will be going back in the near future.

Large property, well appointed, great kitchen, bedrooms good size. Good quality bedlinen and towels. Although the property sleeps 12 there are only 8 dining chairs, although there are a couple of other wooden chairs, they are rather too low for the table. There is only one tv, so kids and adults will have to compromise! Although there is a large garden, it is only suitable for older children as it is almost vertical in places with some rather unstable steps. We had an issue with the amount of rubbish bags provided, which we have flagged up with the holiday company, so hopefully that will be improved.

This is a lovely house in a good position but we were very disappointed to find the temperature only 7C inside when we arrived although the thermostat was set to 16C. We turned the thermostat up and eventually the temperature reached an acceptable level. Later in the evening the circuit breaker for the boiler flipped and the house gradually got very cold again. When we flipped the circuit breaker back on the heating returned only until we ran hot water and then the circuit flipped off again. No heating! No hot water! Bitterly cold outside and getting colder inside! We phoned the owner in desperation because the house was very cold and we were travelling with an infant and an elderly, frail person. The owner lives hundreds of miles away and offered no assistance apart from saying we'd caused the problem by plugging in a baby monitor. Since the heating still blew the circuit when the baby monitor was not plugged in I think she was clutching at straws. She called out a plumber the next morning who found condensation where it shouldn't have been and said he thought that had caused the problem. He removed that and said "That should fix it." Given the bitterly cold weather and the fact that the temperature inside, the house dropped to 7C during the night we decided not to risk staying and left for a hotel. This house is in a lovely position so, perhaps a summer stay would be OK. But we found it cold when we arrived and the heating failed during our stay. It is no exaggeration to say we were lucky no-one died of hypothermia during the night.
