A lovely chalet in a beautiful area, would go back and would recommend to others. The whole holiday felt like a totally relaxing luxury retreat.

The chalet was clean and warm with plentiful supply of towels in the bathroom. I can't think of anything it lacked! The hot tub was a new experience for me, it was nice to relax in it at the end of a long day. Overall, I would recommend this chalet both for it's lovely position and quietness.

Taynuilt is an unspoilt, quiet and traditional Highland village with superb surroundings thanks to Loch Etive and the walkways alongside and further afield. Recommended are a visit to Falls of Cruachan, Angus Gardens and the remote parts of Loch Awe which can be reached by local buses from Oban which pass through Taynuilt. From my visit to this beautiful part of Scotland last year I knew some of its attractions but discovered quite a few more. Polfearn Chalet would suit people who love to be in the middle of a stunning countryside and still be able to get to places such as Oban and Islands quickly. The Chalet's beautiful interior design and various comforts makes it a very enjoyable short-term home after being out all day or for having restful days inside it and or on the deck. Despite some people living close by, the premises on which the Chalet stands are very quiet, as is the whole of the farming land surrounding it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Chalet was very comfortable and the log fire and hot tub were fantastic. The location was good. We would highly recommend this chalet.

We particularly liked the welcoming feel of the property; all the little touches generally found in high end hotels. The Hot Tub was great and the garden was teeming with birds which was great for bird watchers.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Polfearn Chalet during our long weekend on the west coast. It was like a home from home with everything we needed to be more than comfortable and some great instructions and tips for exploring the local areas left for us to peruse. The hot tub and bathroom jacuzzi were particular highlights during our stay in the Chalet, as were evenings curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine by the log fire.

The location is fantastic with lots visitor attractions within a good distance. A nice spacious luxurious lodge. Little extras were appreciated, such as, flowers in all the rooms and a little cake waiting fir our arrival.

The cottage was exactly as promised. The hot tub, which was our main priority, was excellent. Everything else was as described and first class.

A very comfortable property within easy reach of the village of Taynuilt and within a short road/rail journey of Oban. The quality of the fixtures, fittings and furniture were of the highest order. Two further pluses were that the property was on one level and parking for the car was immediately outside the front door.

This was an excellent location for a weekend getaway, and would also be for a longer stay. The village has many amenities, and the chalet is very well equipped and secluded but still with good transport links all around. Everyone in the village was very friendly, interested to talk to us and help us with anything they could. I'd have no hesitations booking again.

Had the freedom to enjoy and relax, was stress free with a homely log fire and all the comforts I needed. The hot tub made a good end to the day and the contact I had with the owner made me feel comfortable with all that was there to enjoy. One of the best breaks I have ever had and would recommend the time there to anyone. The perfect place for two persons to enjoy, I would certainly go back there for another break.

August 2016
stayed here for a week which included my husbands birthday and we had just the best time. beautiful chalet exceptionally well equipped run by a lovely couple who stay next door who were there if we needed them but were never intrusive, the chalet was very private especially the back garden and decking with hot tub the area is outstanding and we did some awesome walks and cycling (a lot of hills but the views from the top were spectacular). the chalet is next to the river Awe and Loch Etive but only a fifteen minute walk to the village shops and Taynuilt Hotel where we had an amazing dinner. A perfect couple holiday destination.

a really lovely place to stay and relax . very well equipped kitchen . bedroom very good size and very comfortable bed . lounge was very nice, very comfy sofas, good sized tv for the size of the room. a good selection off leaflets of places to visit which is always helpful, i even added some to the pile . we found the hot tub was very smelly and as soon as we told the owners they dealt with it first thing the next morning, it was emptied, cleaned and refilled and was ready for the evening on our return after a long day out, very relaxing in clean hot tub. very private and quiet location , would recommend this cottage and would stay again.

It was my first time staying at a cottage, my husband, dog and I had a brillant time!! The cottage was very clean, wood burner was perfect for the evenings. Hottub was AMAZING to relax after a long day out exploring! The location was perfect with a quiet loch 5 min walk which was so beautiful. Less than 20 min drive to oban. Planning to return next year. Highly recommend
May 2016
lovely place to stay, quite, out of the way and the owners attention to detail was superb, fresh flowers in every room, cleaning utensils, dish washing tablets, toilet rolls etc all left, we arrive late on the Friday night and there was a pint of milk in the fridge for us and 2 big slices of fruit loaf, fantastic, plenty of logs to help your self to, could not recommend this place highly enough.

This is the best place we have stayed in and we have tried several over many years ,the weather was very inclement but the chalet was so cosy we still enjoyed our holiday .have got to say and it is important we don't have pets but you would never know it was pet friendly , There was no usual doggy smell which is a sign of perfect cleanliness ,thank you !
June 2015
We had a great time at this rental, the hot-tub was a god send, as well as the large hydropherapy bath. Being Scotland it rained a lot of the time, but this did not dampen the holiday. We found the locals very dog friendly and happy to help with any queries we had, It was quiet and peaceful fight near a loch, (where Skyfall was filmed. (over the other side). The cottage was very clean well maintained and spaceious, we did a lot of sight seeing and even found the cows friendly!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. On a bad note, we had to leave :-(
February 2015
We're just back from a lovely relaxing break. Delighted by the accommodation - extremely well equipped chalet and super cosy. Log burner was a really nice addition in the winter weather we has. Great location - remote but still an easy drive to Oban. Lovely butcher, cafe and pub within walking distance. Not the weather for the hot tub but we'll be back to try it out! Highly recommended :-)
January 2015
We were looking for somewhere special for a great weekend away together for hill walking and geocaching but not somewhere too far away either. With one of us living in England and myself in central Scotland, we decided that the northern area of Scotland would be wonderful and I found this chalet after a quick browse online. It had a hot tub, a lovely bath, log fire and all the amenities one would hope for in such a location and we both knew we'd found a winner. The sat nav took us right to it with no problems and we arrived on time. The place was lovely. Warm and inviting with lots of space. The living room was comfortable and had a nice TV (which we didn't use much but it was nice to have). a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was exceptional. We especially loved how the kitchen has everything you could possibly need for a weekend of cooking, including milk and sundries. We were there in the snow and it was great to go for walks with our cameras and get great shots of this beautiful area! We also walked into the village for lunch at the Robin's Nest Tea Room as well as picking up some fresh haggis from the butcher for Burns night. A short drive and we were also able to go to Oban where we shopped, enjoyed Costa Coffee and had a wonderful Fish and Chips by the seafront. Thanks to the owner for a memorable weekend!

don't be put off by the approach to this accomadation - inside it is well furnished, comfortable and warm. The bathroom is amazing with a spa bath and 'rain' shower, the living room is comfortably furnished and spacious, the log burner is easy to light and effective at heating the room. The bedroom is also very comfortable. The kitchen is compact but well equipped. We didnt actually get to use the hot tub as the weather was not kind to us this week. The owner is on hand if there are any problems and is welcoming and helpful without being obtrusive. This is fairly recently furnished and decoration and furnishings are of a good quality. There were one or two teething problems but once these are ironed out it will be excellent

We had the most PERFECT week at Polfearn chalet. The Chalet itself was so lovely, little touches made it feel like the owners really cared. The decor was modern and not too fussy, but homely all the same. All you needed in the kitchen to cook any meal, bathroom was excellent. We took our dog and 4 month old baby and we will definitely return. Hot tub was the icing on the cake and we had many pleasant evening, watching the swallows with a glass of Prosecco. The surrounding area was beautiful, and the scenery is spectacular. It helped we also had perfect weather!!

This cottage was very peaceful and cosy. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain. It is in a very handy position for touring the West of Scotland.
