Prospect Cottage was the perfect fit for our family! Plenty of space and amenities. We enjoyed staying there so much and especially liked the historic nature of the cottage and the beautiful town of Portlaw. The owners were so friendly and helpful! They made sure we had everything we needed and even researched our Irish surname so that we could visit the town where our family originated! It was the highlight of our trip, along with the guided tour of Curraghmore. This beautiful home of the 8th Marquis of Waterford is a gem and just around the corner from Prospect Cottage! We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have chosen this beautiful cottage and town for our holiday in Ireland. We hope to visit again!

We shared this property with another family and it was ideal. The building is unusual, well adapted and in a gorgeous part of Ireland. The garden was safe for the children to play in. The owners are exceptionally welcoming and on hand if any help is required, which was appreciated.

The cottage was lovely and had real history and character. The couple who own it met us on arrival and could not do enough to help us settle in. The comfort of the beds was excellent and duvets were really warm. The kitchen equipment was excellent and had all we needed for a weeks self catering for 10 people. Everyone in Portlaw thought we were mad for going there on holiday, the but the village is lovely and the people really friendly! The cottage also had a secure courtyard for the children to play in freely, and the views over the river Suir from the property were wonderful. The location is great for exploring the South East Coastal drive of Waterford and also Wexford and Cork were also easily accessible for a day trip

The property was amazing and in a beautiful location. The owners were very friendly and helpful and gave us a very warm welcome and tourist advice. The pictures do not do the property justice as it was stunning and far better than I could have wished for.

What a beautiful house! Prospect cottage is so rich in history, what a perfect place to stay on our trip to Ireland. The house has plenty of room, there were six of us and plenty of beds. The whole house was furnished beautifully and made you feel very warm and welcome. It had a washer and dryer and three bathrooms, and while the bath and shower upstairs needed the hot water turned on an hour before to warm, it was no bother as we had been told that by the owner, we just mostly used the downstairs bathroom which had hot water always. We stayed at prospect cottage for roughly a week and still didn't have time to take in all that this lovely part of the world has to offer. A beautiful house in a very picturesque part of Ireland.

The picture really don't do the place justice. I would recommend staying in this beautiful house to everybody and look forward to stay there again. Portlaw is a great location to stay and has some amazing sight-seeing locations that is easily accessed. The owners are fantastic and very helpful. They made our holiday perfect in every way and couldn't have asked for more. It was our first holiday as a family in Ireland and would recommend people to book this place. A great experience all round :)
