A lovely cottage in a very secure location. It was lovely to see the foals from the kitchen window in the fields. A good base to tour south of Ireland and it was lovely to come back to the quiet of the farm in the evening.

The cottage was just as described. It is in a rural location so was very quiet and peaceful. It was fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer - everything that you need. The cottage looks out over the paddocks which are home to mares and their foals. We used the cottage as our base for lots of day trips around south west Ireland. It was lovely to know that we have a nice warm cottage to return to at the end of each day. The owners are delightful.

We stayed here in Sep for a week picked the lodge as we wanted a rural location and found it appealing being on a stud as the party are horse owners. It felt very private with your own entrance and the lodge had all the mod cons you could need. The wood burning stove was lovely and Geraldine one of the owner's brought us logs when we ran out. We met Tom the other owner when we went for a walk busy looking after the horses, it was great to see a working stud. He had three little helpers in the stables their three dogs two jack Russell's and a Labrador. One of the dogs Pippa became a regular visitor knowing when breakfast and tea was ready letting herself in through the window when we had the tumble dryer on we did not mind she was sweet. We enjoyed the local area and made a stop at the National Stud on the way home once again thanks to Geraldine and Tom we really enjoyed our time at the lodge x

We were looking for a cottage where we could spread out, recharge our batteries and enjoy the Irish countryside. Riversfield Stud Lodge was a perfect match. It's location was perfect for day trips throughout the south-west of Ireland. The cottage is very comfortable and quiet with all the mod cons. The owners Geraldine and Tom are the perfect hosts. Geraldine dropped off some farm-fresh eggs and home-baked scones. It was lovely to have mares and foals outside our cottage window and it was lovely to be able to go for a walk around the farm.

Just come back from a lovely relaxing stay at riversfield lodge. This is a beautiful cottage on the edge of the owners stud farm and is surrounded by fields and is very peaceful with lovely views of the hills. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who showed us around the property and had provided us with freshly baked scones and fresh eggs. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for the owners who were happy to assist us with anything. This cottage is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area which has beautiful countryside and tourist attractions. The owners provided a useful information pack with what to see and do in the area. Despite this cottage being on a working stud farm, this didn't affect the peace and tranquility of our stay and it was nice to watch the horses from the kitchen in the morning. Would definitely recommend and would like to return for a future stay. Clive and Stacie

Found through Skyes online as a base for visiting family near by this was a perfect getaway from the noise and bustle of England. You know you will have a great holiday when the owners have gone to the trouble of stocking the fridge with butter and milk, have left out farm fresh eggs and home made scones as well as flowers. The log burning stove was already on and we were allowed in 4 hours early so this gave us so much time to unwind on our first day. The stud farm is beautiful, the cottage well appointed and having wifi was a dream four our teenage daughter. The beds were very comfy, wet room fantastic and the time went so quickly. Our hosts even dropped by one night with a frying pan as it was pancake day (we had forgotten) - they were amazingly kind and friendly. Will definitely be back as this really was a quiet piece of Irish heaven!
