Sea View Lodge Coastal Cottage description

Holiday home
Sea View Lodge is a mere 2 miles from Warkworth and is located in the idyllic grounds of Eastfield Hall. The accommodation has been built in a lodge-style, with 3 bedrooms that can sleep a total of 6 people. The living accommodation is constructed in an open-plan style, comprising a kitchen, bathroom, lounge and dining area. All of the accommodation is spread across one level and is decorated to a very high standard. The property has its own veranda from which to soak up the stunning panorama and an outside garden means you can enjoy alfresco dining in the summer months. There is also a conservatory that overlooks the sea, perfect for relaxing in at the end of a hard day's sight-seeing. Sea View Lodge has parking for up to 2 cars, allowing you to visit the local attractions at your convenience.

Warkworth Castle is one of the few castles in England to still retain its roof and it rises imposingly over the River Coquet. A short drive away is Alnwick Castle which has been made famous in film as ‘Hogwart's', the school for wizards in the Harry Potter series. Warkworth itself is lined with antique shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants. In addition, it has its own beach and sports a 9-hole, all-weather golf course. Warkworth is also in a prime location to explore other attractios, such as Hadrian's Wall, the Farne Islands, Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

The lodge was very well equipped and lovely and clean. It was furnished tastefully, but with a home away from home feel. The views of the sea were better than expected, but far enough from the coast to be wonderfully peaceful. The lodge is situated close to many attractions, we were spoilt for choice.

December 2004
Great cottage. Decor etc. was 1st class. Everything we wanted was there. Lovely views from living room across to the sea (weather permitting).Great base for touring. Would definately recommend it to others.
October 2012
Sea View Lodge is a perfect lodge for a family stay. We stayed with our extended family and young baby (6month). The lodge is exceptionally clean, modern and well-presented. Attention to detail makes it feel very relaxing and homely. The open plan living and kitchen space is very bright and airy (with a sea view). We stayed at the end of September and the weather was starting to cool but the heating system throughout the lodge made it very warm and cosy inside the lodge. The kitchen is very well-equipped with clean good quality utensils, cutlery, cockery etc. There is also a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. It really felt like a home from home and we were sad to leave the lodge at the end of our stay. The inside of the lodge is superior to the outside. There is parking for 2 cars and a small garden space. The lodge is not within walking distance of any shops but it is only a short drive into Warkworth and Alnwick. We would definitely stay at the lodge again and will recommend the lodge to family and friends.
July 2015
Fabulous accomodation, very spacious, well equipped and well located for all of the usual tourist spots around Northumberland.
Mrs Ford
December 2004
Sea View Lodge was conveniently located for visiting the great beaches along the Northumberland coast. We visited the Alnwick Castle Garden and thoroughly enjoyed the Cascade and the two gardens already created. Looking forward to visiting the garden in the future in order to see how the other garden areas currently under construction are realised.

July 2015
Sea View was very well appointed with a bright airy living area. The location of this cabin was probably the best on the site. Quite private and very quiet. We loved the planting around the steps to the front door. It was decorated in a way that felt very personal to the owner and this gave it a home from home feel. Fantastic to have the view of the sea in the distance. We loved the easy access to towns, beaches and walks and to great restaurants. Our No1 recommendation is a visit to Howick Hall Gardens. We had a fantastic holiday and fell in love with Northumberland.

August 2011
Holiday easy to book. Lodge clean and very well equipped. Lovely peaceful location, but close enough to shops and food. Warkworth village, very pretty. The lodge's location is ideal for surrounding attractions. All visitors should do the boat trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses. For a special occasion enjoy a meal at the Treehouse Restaurant in alnwick Gardens (The gardens are pretty special too.) All in all one of our best holidays!!
December 2009
The service recieved from Sykes Cottages was first class. The home was beautifully furnished and equipt with everything a young family would need. The children could safely play in the garden and with the house all on one level we never worried about them. The location was perfect, within easy reach of beautiful unspoilt beaches, fabulous castles and lovely towns. There is nothing we didn't like about this property, we have been twice now and intend to come back many more times.
July 2011
Seaview cottage is spotless, set in lovely tranquil grounds desppite being close to other holiday cottages. Waking up to the gorgeous view of fields and sea never got old! The cottage is just outside Warkworth village which is a beautiful place with its own castle, hermitage and small boutique shops, cafes and pubs. Warkworth is on the coastal route within easy reach of Alnwick, Bambrugh, Craster, Seahouses. We would defintely recommend Spurreli Icecream Boutique in Amble (serves amazing flavour combinations as well as great wine, beers and coffee) and the Cook and Barker Inn in Newton-on-the-Moor - great food, fab setting and just over the A1.
November 2010
This wonderful wooden lodge was just what we needed. The cleanliness, care and consideration put into making your stay as perfect as possible is second to none. The books d.v.d's and ornaments - all make you feel so welcome. The parking is brilliant and the view in the morning with all the little sparrows eating on the terrace was just a delight. We will be going back as soon as possible.! 10/10 ... Its FaB
