Seamount description

Seamount Cottage is a large modern bungalow on its own half acre site just 300 mtrs from Liscannor village on the Cliffs of Moher road.


All rooms are situated on the ground floor and it has three bedrooms, Double-master ensuite with shower and toilet, Double bedroom and Twin bedroom with shared Bathroom, Bath, shower, etc.

A fold up bed and childs cot is available on request. Free WIFI is available in the village just a short walk away.

It has 2 separate living areas, a sun room for quiet reading or playing cards, listening to the radio or CD, a fine separate lounge with "Free to Air" Satellite TV, DVD Player and VHS video player which also has a coal effect fire for those chilly evenings.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern conveniences.

Outside there are is ample free parking, lawns front and rear, patio furniture and gas barbeque, table and chairs etc.

Liscannor village is a small harbour village situated in the Burren of county Clare on Irelands west coast. It has 2 hotels, a supermarket and restaurants where the best seafood and produce from land and sea is available.

Activities in the area:

The Burren, Cliffs of Moher Visitor centre and coastal walkways.

If you are interested in coastal/cliff walks then this is the place to go as there are a number of different walks to choose from. One coastal walk, Burren Way (Bru na Boinne) runs long the coast for 15 KM from Liscannor to Doolin via the Cliffs of Moher visitor and interpretetive centre which is well worth a visit. If 15Km iss too long for you then it can be broken up in stages with safe places to park the car or take the bus home. 


​We provide bicycles for up to 4 people at guest risk if you would like to cycle the quieter roads in the area.

Lahinch Beach:

If you are interested in beach activities the Lifeguarded Blue Flag Beach of Lahinch is available to all just 3 km away. This beach is noted for its range of activities, from messing about in the waves to sea-kayaking,Surfing and Kite Surfing. A small charge applies at the car park. Additionally Lahinch Seawould boasts an indoor pool, Aquarium, Amusement Park and of course typical shops restaurants, and take away Fish & Chips, Ice cream cones candyfloss and of course promenade "periwincles" and seaweed".

Clahane Rock Pools:

Just 1Km away this rocky outcrop is ideal for children for swimming or just catching crabs and shrimp and small fish and starfish in the rockpools. This area has many sheltered nooks and crannys for sunbathing and is used extensively by locals and visitors alike. This area has free car parking and is ideal for summer picniks.


The coastline is suitable for a wide range of species, from bass at Lahinch/Liscannor to mackarel and pollack from the dedicated fishing spots at Ballyreen. Boat trips can be hired locally for deep sea fishing.
