A beautiful cottage in a great location with very nice hosts!

We liked best that the owner lived nearby and we could chat with them often. We really felt welcome! The conservatory was great and there are a lot of books and films. It is a cottage I would recommend!

Beautiful country cottage in spacious surroundings just perfect for our dogs. Everything catered for, and so relaxing. We could not have wished for a more perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the New Year festivities by having a wonderfully relaxing time in this first class property.

I have holidayed many times in rented cottages in Scotland and I can say with ease that this was the best ever. Excellent.

We have stayed in many excellent holiday cottages over the years but Silverstripe Cottage is the best. One thing often lacking in holiday cottages is that homely feeling, but Silverstripe Cottage is delightfully cosy, warm and very comfortable. We felt at home straight away. Breakfasting in the conservatory was a delight, we were visited every morning by a robin who came to check out the bird table and feeder. Even in the depths of winter, there was plenty to see and lots of walking. A wonderful cottage in delightful surroundings and a great place to relax and recharge the batteries.

The location is nice and quiet, the view out across the pond and fields were very pleasant. The property is very well equipped, it is very spacious and very comfortable in whichever room you choose to sit in. The garden as well is huge and very well maintained.

Wonderful cottage with superb views. The owners were friendly, readily available if required but to be honest the first tour given by the owners and the information folder in the cottage was so informative. So many fantastic places to visit but would recommend Turriff as all local shop owners are helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will be booking in the future but for 2 weeks instead of 1 week.

The cottage is one of the best we have stayed in. It was cosy, warm and very quiet. The land surrounding the property was excellent, there was lots of space for children and dogs explore. We will highly recommend to family and friends.

Very cosy cottage in beautiful rural setting. Amazing dog walking area in the cottage grounds. Excellent heating and constant hot water available. 19th century charm of cottage tastefully combined with modern facilities. Large comfortable conservatory. Would be easy to stay in this cottage all day without going anywhere for a totally chill out break.

Fantastic cottage, furnished to feel like a home. It has an excellent conservatory on the side, which the children enjoyed playing in and we enjoyed watching the stars from in the evening! Very warm and very spacious. Friendly owners too, would thoroughly recommend.

Wonderful cottage in a lovely location. Would definitely recommend. Granny loved the conservatory and our 5 year old had a great time exploring the big garden and feeding the horses next door. It was also an easy 10 minute walk with him to the Garden Centre which has a really good indoor soft play centre.

The Cottage is beautiful in every way; it was warm, cosy and well equipped. The garden is huge, well-maintained and secure. The owners are on hand at all times (but unobtrusive) and there are helpful leaflets and booklets in the Cottage to suit every type of holiday maker. Altogether, a superb holiday retreat!

A magnificent property, a real gem in beautiful surroundings. A great base for exploring or just for relaxing in. The house and gardens are maintained to a high standard and have been beautifully restored. We will be returning.

March 2014
It was a home from home, wish it was ours! Garden was massive, my little boy and dog loved it, there were horses next door that came to say hello every day. Only 4 miles from the lovely little town of Turriff, which has everything you need. We liked it that much, we've booked again! We have stayed in many lovely cottages in Scotland over the last few years but never booked the same one twice before.

January 2014
The house was beautiful and so were the gardens. They had even gone to the trouble of putting up Christmas decorations which was a very nice touch. I would stay at this property again without a doubt.

October 2013
This cottage was certainly the best (in every way) of the many we have rented from other companies in the past 40 years! The location was perfect, the five acres of garden were a fantastic bonus, and the cottage itself was spotless, spacious, cosy and furnished to 5 star standard! The owners were welcoming and extremely helpful, yet unobtrusive. By the end of the week we felt more like friends than visitors! We shall certainly return, as there is so much more to see and do in this lovely corner of Scotland. There was absolutely nothing that we did not like about our holiday!
Mr Mrs Milne
August 2013
Excellent location and cottage for exploring Moray. Description of cottage, garden, views and location does not do it justice. It is a very peaceful, relaxed and comfortable cottage. The garden lawn must be many acres and is sensational! The cottage was far better than our expectations.
Mrs Wilson

An fantastic holiday setting, and home, restful, peaceful, and a little bit of heaven set in a rural part of Aberdeenshire. Very good for visiting the lovely quaint fishing villages on the coast. Excellent hosts who were welcoming and extremely helpful if needed. Highly recommended.

This cottage was absolutely stunning. The location and amenities of the cottage were second to none. The proprietor could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Our stay was one we will remember and cherish forever.
October 2013
Enjoyed an excellent week in silver stripe cottage. Wonderful friendly hosts beautiful surroundings peaceful restful with a homely yet luxurious feel would happily reccomend travelled with husband two teenagers and our springer spaniel who happily enjoyed freedom and space of garden and his dip in the pond every morning ideal location for visiting the stunning coast
January 2014
Silverstripe Cottage is a haven of peace! It is set in five acres of well- tended, fenced and safe garden. The owners could not have been more helpful and courteous. The interior of the cottage is truly breathtaking with a beautiful kitchen, comfortable, high quality furnishings and a bathroom like no other! Truly special! The photos do not do it justice. For us it was a perfect retreat. The garden was ideal for our new dog who was made very welcome by the owners' dogs and neighbouring horses! The cottage is situated within a short drive of Turriff (ample shops and eating places) and the magnificent east coast beaches and inspiring castles and gardens for which this area is renowned, but for us it was enough to spend time enjoying the cottage itself and relaxing in the gardens. This holiday was absolutely superb and we hope to return as soon as possible.

We stayed at Silverstripe Cottage for 1 week in July 16 with 4 adults and 2 dogs. The cottage is really well equipped with everything you need (except a hairdryer - we could find none). The sun room is great for relaxing and we even saw badgers. We loved the sun room and the bedrooms. There were TVs everywhere. The bath tub is a great extra for rainy scottish days. You can find a supermarket 7 km away. There are a lot of things to do and to see in the area like beaches, castles and nice walks. We especially enjoyed the beach in St Combs - perfect for dogs. The owners live directly opposite. There was just one thing we didn't really expect: The garden was described as enclosed, but our new Romanian ex-stray dog could have easily escaped. So we had to keep him on a leash. But of course we don't know if it is a typical description for gardens like this in GB. Also the way down to the stream wasn't easy to go on due to a lot of loose steps and greens. But besides those two small points we really enjoyed our stay and think about coming back next year :)
