This cottage was wonderful and provided us with the perfect location for a break in Shropshire. Everything about it was cosy. The owner was extremely welcoming and came to meet us upon arrival. It's the perfect place to come to get away from the world and sitting the sofa enjoying the view of the birds was an amazing way to start every morning.

The owner was friendly and helpful and welcomed us on our arrival. Plus came to say goodbye on our departure. A lovely location, perfect for walking and exploring the nearby towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow. It was a shame about the weather but we did visit in November!

Stable Cottage was a very nice pleasant and comfortable cottage. We had all the amenities we required, and that made for a very enjoyable holiday. We particularly liked the garden which was visited by many delightful birds everyday.

We had a lovely time at Stable Cottage. The owner was friendly and very thoughtful. We were made to feel very welcome including our dog who loved the freedom of the farm garden and found the orchard and woodlands most appealing. On the whole a very enjoyable week.

The Cottage and its location were perfect for a quiet Shropshire escape. All the other reviews have already sold its virtues and I can only concur with them. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a tranquil holiday and a perfect base camp to visit all the great countryside features the area has to offer. Don't ponder just book it!

Lovely setting, peaceful and restful. Dog friendly, which is a must for us. Owner on site but in no way interferes in any way; around to answer queries if necessary. Location is central to many places to explore. Just the most quiet, relaxing holiday we've had for a long time. Plan to return one day.

Stable Cottage itself is comfortable, well appointed and very charmingly furnished. Its situation adjoining the owner's home, a former rectory, is equally pleasing, rural and peaceful. In July, with the garden in full bloom, the view from the sitting room across the terrace to a small woodland was a delight, as was the view of wild birds at the numerous bird feeders. The owner was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, and we positively enjoyed sharing space with them. We were blessed with perfect summer weather for our fortnight's stay, but it is clear that Stable Cottage has more than adequate central heating, and would be a very cosy place to stay off-season or in less temperamental weather.

The cottage is in a delightful area. It is beautifully equipped and we could find no fault. The owner greeted us with chocolates and a bottle of chilled wine - a lovely touch. Can unhesitatingly recommend staying here for a quiet and restful holiday.

The cottage was ideal for two people. A lovely retreat for those who enjoy peace and quiet, and the dog walking was right on the door step.
April 2015
Nice cottage, everything supplied that you would need .However quite cold, not helped by owner turning heating off while out walking, even though only left it on 15 degrees. Was also sent txt to turn light off at night time, and to hoover before leaving, which would have done anyway. Also asked to only leave possitive comments only in guest heating in kitchen. seems a tad unkept since photos....apart from that, quite nice place and owner..

My boyfriend and I just spent a week in this cottage. It was immaculately and thoughtfully presented. The cottage and the garden were both stunning, and Susie the owner left us a box of chocolates and some jam for when we arrived. The location was peaceful and very attractive and ideally located for exploring Shropshire. I'd highly recommend it to couples wanting a break from it all.
