Stable Cottage itself is comfortable, well appointed and very charmingly furnished. Its situation adjoining the owner's home, a former rectory, is equally pleasing, rural and peaceful. In July, with the garden in full bloom, the view from the sitting room across the terrace to a small woodland was a delight, as was the view of wild birds at the numerous bird feeders. The owner was friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive, and we positively enjoyed sharing space with them. We were blessed with perfect summer weather for our fortnight's stay, but it is clear that Stable Cottage has more than adequate central heating, and would be a very cosy place to stay off-season or in less temperamental weather.
