December 2012
The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, and as it was pet friendly was an advantage for us and our dog. Situated a 10min drive from Owenahincha beach and a 25 min drive from the lovely towns of Clonakilty and Skibbereen the cottage is ideally placed. Another bonus was thePost Office/shop only 100yds away and even better the pub only 30yds away!!! We had an electrical problem (no power to all sockets) during a deluge one evening, but this was fixed by lunchtime the next day. A great holiday all round.
June 2015
Stayed here for a week in June. It was a lovely spot, a real hidden gem. The house has a new TV, a modern kitchen, internet, a power shower and is kept in really clean condition. The homeowner was very sound when we overstayed on the departure day by mistake. Rathbarry is beautiful and full of hidden walkways and activities. If the calmness is too much go play some pitch and putt in Rosscarbery 10 minutes away, or have some lunch in Clonakilty. There's a Lidl a Sueprvalu and a Dunnes in Clonakilty so don't over shop before you arrive. Don't expect a phone signal, but expect a great time.....bring boxsets...lots of boxsets

A delightful home from home cottage that suited my husband and I perfectly. Thoughtfully laid out dining and seating areas with a well designed kitchen. Fabulous undercover decking area to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. The Log burner kept us warm on chillier nights. Wifi was an unexpected bonus as was the fabulous short cycle ride through the woods to the beach from the cottage each evening.
