In the ancient capital of Wessex and central Somerset, these 3 properties The Coach House (ref 28884), Cedar Lodge (UKC289) and The Annexe (UKC3769) all sleeps 4 guests, these are adjoining the owners’ Grade II listed mansion and in an excellent location to explore this delightful county. They can be booked independently or together for three families, and within easy walking guests can be in the quaint heart of this lovely small town with its charming shops. Whichever way you go there is much to enjoy, the Fleet Air Arm Museum or the popular historic Haynes Motor Car Museum with its vast collection of classic cars.
Within easy driving distance, Clarks Factory Village is a must, the famous Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole and Caves, the enchanting Glastonbury Tor and of course Wells Cathedral City with its Bishops Palace.
For a relaxing day out and a trip back in time, try the West Somerset Steam Railway passing through some picturesque countryside. Along with many historic houses, such as Montacute House and Gardens and Forde Abbey and Garden to name a few, you will certainly not be short of many wonderful attractions to visit. Further afield, the spa city of Bath with its Roman baths, museums and shops is well worth a visit, or further south explore down into Dorset and take in some of the lovely seaside resorts on the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast, such as Lyme Regis, West Bay and Weymouth. There are many picturesque country walks, golf nearby, fishing and quaint village pubs to wine and dine in. Beach 25 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
