This spacious, mid-terrace apartment is situated on the lively high street in Callander, on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The apartment is accessed from the ground floor, with the accommodation spread over the first and second floors. There are three bedrooms on the first floor; a super king-size double with the flexibility of becoming a twin and an additional single sofa bed, a room with twin beds (zip/link) and a third bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor and on the second, a single bedroom with fold-out futon and an open plan kitchen, sitting and dining room. Parking is on the roadside and the town's amenities are right on the doorstep. An excellent base for walkers, fisherman and keen kayakers.

The popular tourist town of Callander, in the Stirling region of Scotland, sits on the River Teith and is known as the Gateway to the Highlands. Located on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and surrounded by beautiful scenery, Callander has been a favourite stopping point for tourists on their way to the Highlands for over 150 years.

We stayed at the Callander apartment with our two young children for a few weeks in December whilst our house was getting renovated. What a great home away from home it was. They really have thought of everything. The apartment has all you need in the kitchen, and lovely comfy beds with fluffy towels. The room upstairs has many games for kids - ours particularly enjoyed the little arc with all the animals. Calendar is lovely at this time of year, a nice place to do some Christmas shopping and soak up the xmas atmosphere. What a treat to be in such a luxurious apartment right on the high street - with lovely views out the front and back. We would recommend to anyone a stay at the apartment (with our without kids ;)

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Callander within walking distance of all the amenities Callander has to offer. We spent a great week here at Christmas and were able to host Christmas day dinner for family and friends in the spacious open plan top floor. Great views and fantastic walks in the immediate area. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and has the most comfortable beds of any rental we have stayed in

We stayed in this fantastic apartment for a weekend with friends and we were all so impressed with it. It's so much bigger inside than it first appears so there was plenty of space for wet weather gear, bikes/scooters and luggage etc. Anne-Marie and Richard were really helpful before we arrived and made sure the booking went smoothly. The property is excellently kitted out with really clean and new looking furnishings and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need!! There is also lots of toys/games for kids which kept our kids well entertained! The apartment is a super base for investigating the surrounding area and we would highly recommend it. The local area had plenty of walks, a park, a river, pub which did great food and some nice ice cream shops! We'll definitely be booking this apartment again when back in the area next year!

Just return from a lovely stay in Callander. We just wanted to say thanks to Richard and Anne-Marie for making the house so comfortable to stay in. The house itself is really deceiving as it's just a small door on the Main Street. The bedrooms are huge and the beds the best I've ever slept in. The decor is lovely and all rooms have their own style but all very clean and tidy and well kept. The bathroom is clean and tidy and has a bath and shower which is brilliant. The towels are huge and fluffy which is always a good thing. The living room/kitchen dinning room is great because you can make dinner and speak at the same time. It's not looked into so feels very private at the same time. The couches are very comfortable and the kitchen provides all the things you need to live with. The house heats up very well and was always warm and homely. There really isn't anything else that you could possibly ask for in the house and we had a really lovely time staying here. I sent a few emails to the owners Richard and Anne-Marie who got back to me quickly and very very helpful. I would recommend this lovely house as a base when staying in Callander.

This beautiful duplex apartment is in a fantastic location for all local amenities. Although described as an apartment, it is a large two-storey property with it's own entrance at street level. The property is furnished to an extremely high standard and very well equipped for both adults and children. The owners have thought of everything, even down to bath toys for children! The bedrooms are spacious and luxurious and the best we have experienced in self catering accommodation. Our king size bed would rival any top hotel for quality, comfort and luxury bedding. We would highly recommend this fantastic property and will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed at the Callander Apartment for a week-end in May of this year. It is conveniently situated in the main street of Callander a quaint town with all the amenities you would require for a long or short stay. The Callander Apartment is spacious well equipt and spotless and as soon as we arrived we felt right at home. The bedrooms are large and tastefully decorated in keeping with the rest of the apartment. The kitchen/dinning area is also well equipt and spotless with everything you could possible need for your stay. There are even games, toys, books and DVD,s available for all ages. It is without doubt a 5 star venue we could not fault it in any way shape or form and most certainly recommend a visit.

After a long drive up from Northern England we were surprised to find that Callander was only just under an hour from Glasgow. Although the scenery would suggest we were in the far north of Scotland (Having never been to the Trossachs before I was blown away by its beauty). After chatting to the owner via email. We knew their was no designated parking for the apartment but managed to get parked around the corner, which was literally a 60 second walk to the front door and we parked their all week. On entering the apartment you are faced with a large hallway with a hardwood floor which was ideal for keeping the two bikes. Then up the spiral staircase to the first floor which is where the three double bedrooms and the family bathroom are located. The whole apartment seemed like it had just been decorated or it was just maintained to a high standard. We are seasoned holiday home guests as we never go abroad and the first thing which struck us about this holiday home was the quality of the furnishings. (The mattresses were almost as thick as the beds themselves). After a quick look around to allocate the rooms we made our way up to the second floor which Is accessed via another wide staircase. On the second floor you find the main living are( Very large living area, dinning area and kitchen). Which is open plan but is also large enough for it to feel like you are in your own space without losing the social aspect of open plan living. The single bedroom is also located on this floor which was great for keeping an eye on the baby. The decor and fixtures on the second floor are very much in the same vein as that of the first floor. With a modern fitted kitchen with ample crockery and cutlery. (Again a major relief when renting a holiday home). And two large couches and a couple of lounging chairs in the living area. After we got settled in we had a look at the information pack the owners had compiled for there guests,which was very comprehensive and informative. (You always research the local area but nothing beats a bit of local knowledge). Callander is a lovely Highland town and the Apartment is situated right at the heart of it on the Main Street. The town is full of very interesting gift shops, cafes, pubs and of course the fudge shop which we must have visited most days. Just a short drive away we visited Doune Castle, the Deanston Distillery and Blair Drummond safari park, to name just a few. We had six dry days out of seven which I know from many previous visits north of the boarder is a bit like winning the lottery and we will definitely plan a trip here again in May/June time. And the Callander apartment is number one on our return to list.

We were a party of 7 celebrating a 40th birthday. This was a perfect house to accommodate this special occasion. We arrived on a very cold day (minus 10) in Callander with the snow up to our knees. The apartment is situated on the Main Street and very easy to find. There is free on street parking outside the apartment. Access to the house was easy as instructions were left by Anne-Marie via email. On entry to the house, it was very cold but at the time we just thought it was because of the weather. It became apparent that the heating was not on and I knew via communication with Anne-Marie that adjusting the heating was done remotely and there were no controls in the house. I emailed Anne-Marie who instructed Jim (handy man) to come have a look at the heating issue. He was not able to fix the heating but he provided us with 2 electric heaters. This took the cold air off the living/kitchen/dining area which is where we spent the majority of the weekend. The bedrooms were very comfortable, all beds and bedding were of the highest quality. Each room was very spacious. The apartment was in a very good state of repair, well furnished, superbly equipped and decorated to a high standard. The living/dining/kitchen is ideal for a holiday home as everyone is together all the time. Anne-Marie provided compensation for the inconvenience of the heating issue which we are happy with. It didn't detract from the fact that we had a wonderful weekend and our stay in The Callander Apartment was FIRST CLASS. Looking forward to a return visit!!
