Fantastic place to stay, very comfortable. Lounge area was a great space to relax in. Excellent location, quiet, yet close enough to town centre and all the places we wanted to visit. The garden was ideal to soak up the sun and for the children to play in. Lots of fantastic places to visit.

The location was excellent - so near to areas of interest but far enough away from the hustle and bustle allowing for a very relaxing break. The garden was a pleasant surprise, well laid out and private. Fresh eggs also on hand as there is a chicken farm next door, yummy!

August 2011
The house was situated in a quiet position and enabled us to tour around Dorset on a daily basis. The owners were friendly and stated if we needed anything they were there to help. We found the lower ground style appropriate for our family needs since we have a young child. There was plenty of space for us all to move around. The facilities within the house were similar to our own home so that made the standard of living no problem to adjust to. If you want a quiet location with privacy then there is no better choice.
Mr Morgan
May 2011
It was peaceful and quiet. There was lots of room and the owners were friendly. The location was excellent - well placed to visit the many attractions in that part of Dorset. We fully intend to return at some stage in the future.

February 2011
Great accommodation in a lovely location which was very well equipped and a pleasure to stay in. The locality of the property is great for days out and to see the many sights of Dorset. There are good walks in the area such as Cerne Abbas and Maiden Castle. The pubs in the area serve good food particularly The Thimble Inn in Piddlehinton. The caretaker Mrs Inch was very friendly and the fresh eggs from her farm were delicious!
Mrs Elms

The Coach House was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We went away with our daughter (10) and her cousin (14) and they both loved where we stayed. We visited Dorchester, Weymouth, Lulworth Castle, so lots to keep them occupied! We had some lovely meals out and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The cottage was in a lovely quiet location with nice walks. It was very well equipped, and we were surprise to hear that we weren't the first to stay in it, it was so pristine. It was nice for the children to have the run of the place. I feel sure we will be back.

A great deal of thought had gone into this property, there was nothing to fault about the holiday. The owners have put a great deal of time and effort into the whole complex. They are very friendly and helpful. Good luck to them for the future.
Ms Gallagher
October 2005
They have also done an amazing job on this barn conversion, it is beautifully decorated and furnished, cleaned tidied to perfection with lots of lovely extra touches...
Mrs Large
April 2006
The cottage was fantastic - luxury at a reasonable price - other cottage owners should take note. The owners were helpful but unobtrusive. The boys liked having a golf course within walking distance. We liked the central position with everywhere we wanted to go within a half-hours' drive.
Mr Mrs Davis
August 2005
The property was at show home standard with more than adequate levels of kitchen equipment and a high level of decoration.
August 2013
Simple check in service. Fresh milk left in fridge. Very spacious accommodation (only suitable for two adults and two children)extremely well equipped, very clean, secluded rear garden and pretty location. Good parking Easy access to most parts of Dorset. Dorchester very pleasant and Weymouth only 7miles away, use Park & Ride. A most enjoyable week.
October 2012
Generally. a lovely comfortable place, quiet location, but accessible for lots of attractions. Owners lived nearby, but didn't come across on arrival to make sure everything was okay; would have been nice for them to introduce themselves. Must have been having a problem with flies as there were many fly papers hanging in living areas, left a feeling of slightly unclean. Also, fly problem made us feel we couldn't open the windows to allow fresh air into the property. Consequently, bedrooms became very hot to the point of causing uncomfortable nights sleep.
August 2011
The Coach House is well situated for exploring central Dorset and has a real wow factor when you walk through the door - large open plan living area, well designed kitchen and a separate dining area. On the whole the property is clean, well maintained and appointed (apart from some chipped crockery) and there are more saucepans than you could possibly need. A pleasant garden with table and chairs is a nice relaxing space to sit on a fine evening. However upstairs is something of a disappointment. The double room is fine, plenty of space in both the bedroom and the en-suite, but then the twin bedroom is a real let down. It is pokey (you have to move one of the beds to get into the wardrobe) with very little hanging space and no drawers, just shelving. As for the en-suite this is not designed for adults unless you are a contortionist. Head room is limited and designed for anyone over 5 ft. So remember your paracetamol for headaches!! This was a property which we liked, but would not return to, basically because sleeping spaces were not as comfortable as we would have wished for.
August 2011
Toilet was broken upon arrival, Smell of oil from faulty boiler. The cleanliness of the cottage was appalling, The settees were covered in dirt and hairs, Dirty and rusty pans covered in grease, The utensils still had potato etc stuck to them, Cups, Shelves Etc were filthy, The summer quilt that was on the beds had hairs and pubic hairs all over them. The winter quilts Were thrown on the floor in the wardrobes with pillows which were covered in yellow stains. Cupboard under the stairs had dirty mop resting on other bedding. Also the 4* Visit England Certificate In the property was false it was for a property in Kent.
July 2010
I stayed in the property with my brother and found the accomodation ideal for us. A shower in the main bedroom would have been appreciated. The weather was good and we enjoyed exloring Dorset.
November 2010
the coach house is a good quality good value cottage and we really enjoyed staying there, good location to explore the area, the only downside was having to use the car all the time
December 2009
As it was aptly named by our daughter... A well appointed and beautiful cottage which is well located for many of the attractions in the area.
December 2009
Fabulous cottage with lots of room downstairs for our 1 year old son to crawl around and play. Fresh eggs were delicious - highly recommended!
