This was one of the most well equipped and well-presented places we have stayed. It overlooked the owner's garden which was beautiful. The property is ideally situated for touring the area.

This holiday cottage was definitely the best we ever stayed in. It was equipped with everything you could think of and very clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. When our week at the cottage had ended, we regretted that due to our sightseeing in Kent we hadn't been able to spend more time in the beautiful garden. T

May 2014
In Kent, in a rural area, in a beautiful garden, all very quiet and peaceful yet only half an hour away from the centre of London. A big thank you to the hosts for making us welcome. Offering toys, a shed to park the bikes, the wood burner already set when we arrived, all things which are an extra above what we booked. We really felt at home.

The cottage is in an ideal location for privacy, quietness and peaceful surroundings. It is perfectly equipped with all essentials and more, for an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners were the perfect hosts, very welcoming and helpful, and on hand with any advice/information required. They were unobtrusive, but were immediately available if needed. We would definitely recommend the cottage to family and friends, and will be staying again in the future, when required.

The cottage was set in such a peaceful and beautiful location, it was so relaxing. There was so much to do in the local area with the wonderful parks and stunning seaside towns, we were spoilt for choice! With the cottage owners being so friendly and helpful as well, we didn't want to come home! Especially the dog!
March 2013
We found the cottage and owners excellent, we have stayed in many cottages and found The Cottage to be one of the best. Used as a base to travel into London daily for the west end and Museums. We will be returning one day.
May 2013
The photographs do not do "The Cottage" justice, it is lovely. A beautiful setting with a large secluded garden and a perfect location for visiting the nearby Medway towns, Kent coast and London. We made this a base for visiting family and friends in Gravesend, Maidstone, Deal and Canterbury. There are many good restaurants and shops close by. The cottage is warm and cosy and equipped to a high standard, we particularly liked the wood burning stove and Wi-Fi access. We received a warm welcome from our hosts who have a good knowledge of the local area. A very enjoyable stay.

First of all, sorry for my English especially the grammar. But I like to write a review about this fantastic cottage nearest London. I am from Berlin, Germany and this October we decided to make holidays in Great Britain to visit London. We went by car from Berlin to Gravesend, it needs about 12 hours (incl. ferry boat from Calais to Dover and travel breaks). I strongly recommend this kind of travelling on weekend (normally on Saturday is arrival date), you take only the motorway and arrive very relaxed Great Britain. I like to tell about my experiences with travelling to London from the cottage: -10 minutes by car from there is a town called Longfield, there is a railway station with direct connections to Victoria station in Central London. The parking at Longfield railway station costs 4 pounds the whole day, and the ticket for train inc. travel card in Central London costs for a family (2 adults and 2 children) 26 pounds. -If you like visit London on weekend I recommend to go by car to Lewisham near London, go to car park behind Tesco, parking is free on weekend and then walk only 3 minutes to DLR station in Lewisham and buy a travel card for a family for 18 pounds. Then you can visit London in a very relaxed kind of travelling and you passed Tower Bridge and Tower on this way . -In addition to Longfield, during normal business hours in week (start at 9 am !!) I recommend to go by car to Greenwich (40 minutes), Blackheath Avenue in Greenwich Park and park there for max. 4 hours (4,80 pounds), you can visit the Maritime museum and the 0 meridian of course, but another interesting thing is the railway connection from Greenwich to London Bridge or Charing Cross. Normally you should stand on Oxford street / Regent street in 45 minutes from there. Independently from my London tips I recommend the fantastic neighborhood, the beautiful countryside, Rochester and Canterbury, Whisteable on sea etc. too.

This cottage is a lovely, small holiday home. The standard of presentation was excellent, and cleanliness outstanding. Many things, that we have had to supply ourselves whilst staying in other cottages, we're already in situ: towels, toilet rolls, washing-up liquid. The cottage owners were lovely and welcoming and our 10 and 12 year old sons had a great time in their large garden and using their tree swing. The cottage was central for trips to London, Chartwell, Down House etc. We had a great time. Everything was off a very high standard. One downside only: only a double bed. My husband is 6ft 3ins and we did have very uncomfortable sleep.

The cottage is in a very good location to give you central access to north Kent attractions such as Sissinghurst Gardens, Chatham Naval Museum, Scotney and Leeds Castles, various country parks, National Trust sites, and Canterbury. Our hosts, whose home is next to the cottage, were very helpful and provided excellent accommodation for our much needed holiday.
August 2014
The cottage in Culverstone Green was super, and in a great location for access to touring Kent, visits to London by train (we also drove to Greenwich Observatory), and a day trip to Paris on the Eurostar. It was very quiet at the cottage, and the owners are lovely people, helpful without being intrusive. A great place to stay .

Stayed here for nearly 4 weeks whilst working in the area. Stayed in Kent since March and stayed at many places all of which have been nice but I have to say this is the jewel in the crown. The cottage is immaculate and so cozy, it really felt like home. The grounds are amazing and the owners Keith and Teresa are happy for you to explore them and they are happy to help with anything. They have a schnauzer puppy called Hugo who is the cutest friendliest little boy! Can't wait to return. Highly recommended.

Comfortable beds, lovely garden, friendly and hospitable hosts. Good info, particularly found the maps useful. Many and varied places to visit nearby.
May 2012
The photo doesn't do this place justice. Warm, cosy, very well appointed and such comfortable beds. The owners gave us a very warm welcome and then left us alone - but any time we needed anything one of them was there and sorted us out immediately and very cheerfully. Thoroughly recommended.

A lovely cottage set in the owners grounds. So peaceful and tranquil, the only sound was birdsong. Cottage was very well equipped, nothing lacking. Spotlessly clean. Owners were very welcoming and a mine of information on the surrounding area. Huge garden which, if you were taking a dog with you, would be perfect for it to run round in. Would have no doubts about returning at all. Has Wifi although Sykes seem unaware of this.
November 2012
We were made very welcome. Our hosts gave us and the children the run of their large garden. The situation was ideal for our visits to the Olympics. Only a few minutes to Ebbsfleet Station provides a rapid route into Central London. The cottage was comfortable and clean, and readily adaptable to our particular needs with the children. It was very quiet and peaceful, and the close proximity of the house was not a problem. We would highly recommend it to others.
