The Granary description

Situated within the grounds of Long Garth working farm, The Granary is a detached property over 2 floors and provides an excellent country retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The farm is a 300-acre working beef and sheep farm, run and owned by the owners who conveniently live on site should guests have any questions. It is situated on the side of the Duddon Valley on the edge of the Lake District National Park, with stunning views down and across the valley to the Dunnerdale Fells and Stickle Pike.

The holiday cottage provides an ideal base for families, couples and groups who want to experience the beautiful scenery of the Lake District and enjoy country walks, mountain biking and many outdoor pursuits in the area.

The ruins of Frith Hall are situated in the grounds and there are plenty of walks and cycle routes from the door. Explore the Cumbrian coast, Southern Lakes and the unspoilt Western Lakes, Muncaster Castle, Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway. Wast Water, Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass are within easy reach.

Guests have use of 100 acres of woodland, which is accessible on foot. Broughton-in-Furness with pubs and shops is 4 miles away. In spring, listen to the cuckoo and birds chirping away. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 4 miles.3 steps to entrance. Ground floor: Living/dining room with wooden floor. Kitchen with wooden floor. Conservatory. 1 double bedroom.
