Holiday home
The Log Cabin is a detached Shropshire cottage, set in the owner's grounds, on the outskirts of the rural village of Adforton, eleven miles from Ludlow. The cottage also as an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with sofa bed. The Log Cabin is surrounded by lovely countryside, ideal for walkers and cyclists, and there is plenty to see and do in the area.

Adforton is a small, rural village surrounded by countryside, ideal for walking, mountain biking and bird watching. The village is situated between the town of Ludlow and Leominster, and the area boasts plenty of attractions and lovely towns. There is something for everyone.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

A superb Cabin within a friendly family garden. The owners were extremely helpful with advice for days out and local events. The Cabin was lovely with everything you could require. There was a lovely private garden with plenty of wildlife to watch through the large patio doors, as well as chickens roaming around. I would highly recommend this property!

One of those special properties which you feel comfortable in as soon as you get there. It had a brilliantly well equipped kitchen. We hope to go back again, and we do not usually rebook the same cottage.

The log cabin was a home from home and one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. It was very comfortable and excellently equipped. The owners made us very welcome and we would love to go back.

Good accommodation, helpful owners, excellent setting. The owners extremely welcoming and helpful, they managed to leave us to ourselves even though the Cabin was so close to their own house. They said we could use the garden as our own which was great, although we had our own private area. They provided everything we could need on holiday, including washing line and pegs. We plan to return and explore even more of the area from what proved to be a great base.

Our holiday was great. We enjoyed the peace and quiet surroundings around us. The kids enjoyed the nature and the secret garden attached to the cottage with our regular barbecues. They also had the chance to have some swimming lessons at the leisure centre. A lot to see and explore, villages that you can visit while planning your circular walks. Horse riding and biking facilities close by. Simply a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Very welcoming and unique place to stay, in the middle of nowhere, but easy access to a lot of interesting places. Enjoyable experience as we have not visited that area before so everything new to us.

The owners were very friendly and we found everything most welcoming.

A real home from home, there was nothing that we could have wanted for - owners friendly and very accommodating. Fresh eggs, milk, orange juice and a huge vase of flowers awaited us on arrival. There was spare toothbrushes etc. in the bathroom. I invited my parents and sister over for supper one evening and we found all the dishes and plates we needed to put on a buffet type spread for them too. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cottage fitted out as a home from home rather than with the usual cheap and cheerful, sterile and basic minimum one tends to get in a holiday cottage.

We had an absolutely wonderful week holiday at the log cabin. It is set in wonderful surroundings and was very peaceful and relaxing. The secret garden was lovely, watching the family of blue tits and seeing the free range hens roaming about in the family's garden from our kitchen window was a delight. It surpassed our expectations and was just what we needed.

A very well equipped and cosy cabin. We loved watching the birds on the bird feeder! In a beautiful location in a lovely part of the country which we were exploring for the first time. Our thanks to the owners, who were very helpful.
