Just beyond Buxton is the well known and loved Peak District National Park with its natural contrasting beauty that spans four English counties. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy endless amounts of walking and cycling, through peaks, moors, hills and dales with a number of fascinating market towns and pretty villages, such as Eyam, Castleton and Bakewell, easily accessible within half an hours drive. The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park can all be reached in around 30 minutes and for golf enthusiasts, Buxton is home to Cavendish Golf Club which as a MacKenzie course is recognised as one of the finest in Britain.
