The village of Camber is on the Sussex coast, between Rye and Lydd and is popular for its sandy beaches. A great place to stay with kids. There was a beach with dunes within a few minutes walking distance and a safe cycling route to Rye where we enjoyed great fish and chips. The seaside themed decoration throughout the cottage enhanced the relaxing holiday by the sea experience. Would definitely come back.

We stayed here as 3 adults and 1 baby and overall we found the cottage very good and it met our needs for our stay perfectly. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the dunes and it meant that we could carry our baby to the beach and didn't have to worry about pushchairs / baby seats getting dirty and sandy (we saw many other parents struggling!). The property is generally in very good condition and is well decorated throughout and is made to feel very homely with some nice little decorations to add to the feel. It is well equipped and the kitchen had basically everything we could hope for in a holiday rental to help make your stay easier, including a good table and baby seat. The bedrooms were good size and comfortable for us, even with a cot (provided) in the room there was plenty of space. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was excellent! There were a few minor things that we didn't like; The toilet was "generous" and always left a present behind after every flush. There was no mattress for the baby cot. Given that we came from abroad this was a issue for us and we had to buy one specifically for our stay. The floor boards were squeaky, could be an issue if you have young kids in bed. The TV volume would go up and down all the time. It was worse on TV channels with poorly quality. The gardens front and rear were fully pebbled. This made it not a nice and welcoming place to sit outside The internet was a bit slow, but I assume this is an issue with Camber in general being such a small rural place, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh here! The pictures are a good representation of the property although some suggested that it actually is better than the photos! And I would not hesitate to stay again if we decide to come back to Camber.
