Holiday home The Stable is a delightful, semi-detached cottage set just two miles from the village of Combs in the High Peaks and can sleep four people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with an open fire. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, bike storage and a front garden with furniture and a built-in barbecue. The Stable is a wonderful holiday base.
Area The village of Combs, on the edge of the Peak District National Park offers an ideal base for walking, cycling, or fishing on the beautiful reservoir nearby. Combs has a pub, plus two miles away is the village of Chapel-en-le-Frith with its cobbled market place. Within driving distance is the spa town of Buxton, the Blue John show caves at Castleton and Chatsworth House.
Region The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
The Stable is a well appointed property in a beautiful remote location. The cottage furniture and facilities were all excellent, the owner was welcoming and there was a friendly atmosphere. We would highly recommend this cottage to all our friends.
