Although the cottage was well situated for exploring the area, and nicely decorated there are three reasons we won't be going again.
1,We live on a main road so really didn't think it would be an issue staying on a main road, however we didn't realise that every time we went out we would be taking our lives into our own hands. The speed limit is 40mph and the cottage is on a blind bend. Not ideal if you enjoy a good night's sleep with the road a meter from the bedroom window and traffic speeding past at all hrs, including tipper trucks on there way to and from the local quarry.Wouldn't recommend for families with young children, the old or infirm.
2, Advertised as dog friendly, we had to speak to the owner a few days before we went and was told that we couldn't take our dog, I told him that we had booked because it was dog friendly so he agreed that we could take it. Not that dog friendly, we have a border terrier who loves a good run in the garden, there was no outside space and so had to risk our lives again to take the dog out after his meals and at bed time, wouldn't recommend to dog owners.
3 advertised as having wi-fi............... wouldn't recommend you book if you want wi-fi it was reminiscent of the old dial up but this wi-fi was worse, when you do pick up a signal you have to hope and pray that it doesn't drop out within 2 minutes.
The cottage was well equipped with, microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tvs in both bedrooms with free view
