We loved Skipton, and we loved the house. It was great to just walk through a passage and be in the middle of the market. Or go out the other way and be at once by the canal and it's beautiful boats. The owner was pleasant and helpful but not intrusive. We had a great holiday.

very close to shops, banks and eateries.Easy walking to High Street.Owners of property left a well filled box of information leaflets and lists of things to do in the area for both dry and wet days.Property well maintained and very comfortable with parking outside cottage. Short walk to 2 supermarkets and the bus and railway stations, which gives you access to just about everywhere. Street market several days of week with usual stalls including local produce. No real dislikes. What we liked was ease of getting around by public transport which meant no driving for me for a week.
July 2013
Everything ran very smoothly. The cottage was in a perfect location in the centre of Skipton but was still very quiet. There was every kind of restaurant you would wish for within a 5 minute walk.Lots of places to visit for a day out. The cottage was comfortable and had everything you need.It was also nice and warm. We had awful weather but still a very enjoyable week.

A lovely cottage that was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, although small, had everything needed to cook. We will certainly return to Town Cottage in the future. Overall, a fabulous holiday.

The fact that the cottage is situated in such a quiet spot yet so close to the town centre. The owners were very friendly and the cottage was of a high standard. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A lovely property in the heart of Skipton which we thought was a very interesting town. Good restaurants, good pubs and super castle. Owners very helpful.

An excellent property right in the heart of Skipton. The location could not be bettered: a minute's stroll in any direction unveils a wide range of local shops, bars and restaurants. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and offers all mod cons. A real gem, with the added bonus of private parking right outside the house.

The cottage was in the perfect location, less than a minute from the High Street to buy my morning paper, yet amazingly quiet. It was also very convenient for the excellent local bus services. After some marvellous daytime walks, it was lovely to be able to sit outside the cottage on a sunny evening and to stroll by the canal and through the woods. The cottage was very comfortable in all respects.

The cottage was located just 60m behind the main High Street, but was in a quiet secluded close with car parking. Very convenient to a wide choice of restaurants for evening meals in town.

The position of the property was great, quiet but within a few yards of the high street and close to the canal. We loved it, what a great holiday home!
October 2015
We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Town Cottage. It is situated in such a quiet spot yet so close to the town centre - an absolutely ideal location. The cottage itself is very cosy, warm and comfortable and, as we ate out, we weren't in any way inconvenienced by the slightly small kitchen. The owners are very friendly and we very much hope to return next year.

Although the cottage is right in the middle of town it is very quiet and secluded. Less than a minutes walk to shops, pubs and restaurants you could be in the middle of a tiny village. Comfy bedroom, small but cosy living room and huge bathroom. The kitchen is tiny, but there are so many restaurants, cafes and pubs serving food in Skipton who wants to cook? Literally a stones throw from the marina and canal, as well as the lovely market it is the perfect place for a break. We shall definitely be visiting this cottage again!

Excellent cottage - very clean and comfortable. The owners very friendly, helpful and considerate. Skipton is a very attractive town - lovely to walk round and along the canal and up to the castle. Excellent fish and chips from Bizzie Lizzies and pork pies from Stanforths. Enjoyed going round the market as well. Went on the Settle Carlilse railway - very scenic and ideal for getting off somewhere and walking.

Loved staying at the cottage. So close to all amenities . Owners are helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
December 2013
A lovely romantic cottage for two with everything you need for a perfect break. Parking is right outside the cottage and the lovely town of Skipton is literally a minute away but there was never any noisiness. There is plenty of facilities in Skipton from supermarkets to restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The bedroom is the perfect size and the bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with a shower and a bath. The lounge is a also a nice size with comfortable furniture. The kitchen is a little on the small side but we managed okay - the owners have said they are going to give it a redesign at some point to maximise space. We will definitely be going back at some point.
