The attention to detail was excellent. We were situated in an excellent position for our requirements. The cottage and garden were beautiful and had everything that we needed. All was as advertised and more. A great holiday, we wish to return.

This is a wonderful cottage, one of the best we have stayed in. There was plenty of space and equipment which enabled us to invite our family to an early Christmas lunch. It was cosy, warm and very well maintained. I look forward to returning some time in the future.

If there was a higher grade than excellent then I would definitely use it. This was the best equipped holiday home we have ever had. The owner was very attentive to our every need, nothing was too much trouble for her. We will certainly be back and will be recommending it to all our friends, work colleagues and family.

This lovely cottage is well set up with great attention to the comfort of those renting it. There is ample room for 2 couples and a single with a large lounge area, large kitchen dining and everything needed to cook your own meals, or not as you so desire. To the rear is a lovely garden which on a warm day would just entice you to sit and reflect, read, or enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea with friends. We used this as a base for seeing around the area and also for riding in the Little Trains of Wales, most of these being within and hour and a half travel by car from the cottage.

This is a particularly lovely cottage, beautifully furnished and maintained with a lovely garden, fenced so that dogs cannot escape. The countryside around is lovely and offers good walks and lots to do. Porthmadog is a nice little town with good shops and of course the Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway, both marvellous days out.

Twll y Cae is a beautiful cottage with beautiful gardens (even in March!). Everything was perfect; spotlessly clean and well equipped with attractive furnishings, everything you could wish for. As you may have gathered, we loved it! The area has many lovely beaches, Black Rock sands is great for dog-walking. All in all a great holiday.
August 2016
Excellent location for coast and mountains. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. The owner thought of everything to make our stay just perfect.

Twll y Cae is a real delight, a quirky cottage with an interesting history and a delightful garden. The cottage is the best equipped we have ever stayed in, with lots of thoughtful touches from Ann the lovely owner. The beds and settees are all very comfortable and inviting, and the unusual kitchen layout is very sociable and works well. (There is even a Rangemaster cooker for those who are inclined to cook on their holiday.) We all enjoyed sitting in the lush garden which the dogs loved. My only criticism of the cottage is that time moved too quickly and we had to leave well before we wanted to! Wholeheartedly recommended. We are definitely joining the long list of previous visitors who want to live here.

The cottage is ideally situated for the local towns of Porthmadog and Criccieth and if you take a dog, you can just walk out of the door up the lane into the beautiful Welsh fresh air for your morning walkies. My mother and I stayed for a week and we had a double bedroom and bathroom each. Beds are comfortable with lovely cosy fluffy duvets. The kitchen diner is very well equipped and spotlessly clean with everything you would need including a dishwasher and microwave. The lounge is spacious and cosy with a log fire if the evenings get chilly. One of the strongest features of the cottage is the garden. We went in April and could sit out early evening but I would think mid Summer it would be gorgeous to have supper and a chilled glass out there. All in all it was one of the best holiday cottages I've stayed in and I would definitely go back.
January 2016
My partner and I and our two dogs have stayed in this cottage twice. We've just booked for a third time in March 2016. It has to be the most convenient Cottage that we've ever rented. To be honest it's the sort of place we'd buy. It's got a decent appointed kitchen and utility room with the sort of kit we've got at home,Comfortable Beds, two bathrooms with a decent sized shower cubicle to accommodate 6 foot plus, Broadband Wifi. Gas Central Heating providing a warm ambient temperature that negates the use of the wood burner !. Food shopping is very close at Porthmadog. If you visit in September there is a bonus of free Blackberries growing in the lane too.!!. Walks from the house are several. You could walk up the main road towards Criccieth where you find a pay as catch trout fishery and Cafe. Turn left from the cottage up the lane through a couple of gates , go underneath the pylon and you come to the Caernarfon Road. Suitable for good sturdy shoes !!. Locate the Village telephone Kiosk and post box, about 50 metres to the right across the road is a tarmac footpath that leads about 1 mile to a disused church. In the 12 th Century the Church was on an island surrounded by the sea only reached at low tide by a causeway. Totally love the area and the cottage and cannot wait to return.

The cottage was very well furnished, very clean and airy and all the rooms were excellent. The location of the cottage was very quiet, the garden was quiet and peaceful. The owner of the cottage was very friendly, we would definitely stay in the cottage again.
