Ty Cerrig is a stone built, detached farmhouse close to the historic town of Harlech in the small Snowdonia village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. Boasting two double bedrooms and another with adult bunk beds, this cottage can sleep up to six people. The village of Dyffryn Ardudwy quietly nestles between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Boasting its own mild climate due to its unusual positioning, and an exciting array of wildlife and birds including soaring buzzards, this village provides good local shops and a good pub. The small town of Harlech is just 4 miles away, dominated by its majestic 13th Century castle which is a World Heritage Site, and the most impressive of all the castles built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech alsoboasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants. Nearby Barmouth offers an amazing Panorama Walk with breathtaking views and also a harbour from which you can enjoy a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

The cottage was one of the best we've ever stayed in. The owner welcomed us warmly and there was such good attention to detail which made the cottage very comfortable. The location was amazing. We loved the views. We found Dyffryn Ardudwy very handy for our walk along the Welsh Coast Path.

July 2014
On arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner. The property was well equipped and had a good sized garden (my boys had fun running around and rolling down the small grassed slope in the lawn). There was ample parking space, the property was well equipped and was situated in a good place - a 10 min walk from local shop, half hour walk from beach (with our two boys 3yrs and 8 yrs) or a five min drive. We were very fortunate with the weather so had every meal outside using the good quality garden furniture, and spent many an evening sat outside watching the sun go down over the sand dunes - a beautiful view.

October 2013
The location was perfect, scenery good, and although in a village it was very quiet, perfect! This was a wind down holiday for both myself and my daughter as we both have very stressful jobs, we could not have asked for a better property to allow us to do this.
Mrs Westwick
August 2013
The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped, particularly the kitchen. Although not isolated, it was a very quiet location and perfectly situated for all our outings - Barmouth, Harlech, Conwy, Caernarfon, Porthmadog as well as offering easy access to beach, bike rides and walks for all the family. The children especially enjoyed the lovely garden.
Mrs Mayer-smith

This was our first holiday together as a family with our two little girls. The property was superb, the welcome from Mrs Edward was warm and welcoming and the access to attractions in the area was perfect!

Lovely quiet and spacious accommodation with beautiful views and easy access to the main routes along the coast.

July 2012
We liked the distant sea views and the sheep and lambs in the adjoining field. The welcome present of a cake and flowers left by the property owner was a nice touch. The local butcher sold super meat. We liked the peace and quiet of the area and the log fire at night. Nice local pub food from several pubs. All good! Local Italian restaurant was fantastic with sea views. I do a lot of mountain biking and some good local trails up into the hills again with stunning views. Powerful shower, with plenty of hot water throughout the day.

One of my main considerations is availability of public transport and village amenities, and this location proved excellent in both respects. The accommodation was very well equipped, clean and comfortable, and I am already considering returning in the very near future.

The cottage on arrival was more than we could have expected. Beautifully presented and equipped to a very high standard. All our requirements were met - even the needs for the baby. Views and sun-sets were spectacular, lovely garden space for the 2yr old, he loved seeing the rabbits playing in the garden every morning. This has been one of the best we have had the pleasure of using and we cannot wait for our next visit. Thank-you Mrs Edwards and your Daughter for you hospitality.
December 2013
We had a great week at this property. With a new baby we were a little apprehensive about our first family holiday but the cottage exceeded all our requirements. The photographs don't do it justice and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

January 2015
On arrival we found an immaculately neat cottage waiting for us. The amenities in the cottage are modern and clean and refined. If you don't want to use your car, then the cottage well situated within walking distance of a train station and bus stop, it's easy to explore or go shopping using public transport. The homely atmosphere and rustic environment was a welcome get-away. Don't expect a reasonable internet connection though.
May 2011
Excellent location with easy access to beach, pub, restaurants. A lovely spacious property - glad to stay there again.
October 2012
pictures on internet looked great, the reality was even better, the property was lovely and clean and spacious and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday, the garden is well maintained and quite large, the views from the property are fantastic, if your fortunate enough the sunsets are brilliant, I would recommend this property to anyone one who asked, we were a family of 5 adults, but children would have loved the garden and freedom to play safely out doors.
