This is a gorgeous house to stay in. It is in a great location and has lots to do in the area. We had a really lovely holiday and we would highly recommend Wetherell House to any family looking for a peaceful, beautifully decorated traditional house.

This is a beautiful house with a gorgeous garden. The house had everything we needed in it and more. After seeing our photographs our family have booked to go in October. It's a great base for visiting the lakes and we especially liked the wildlife park and the Gruffalo trail with the kids.

It was beautifully furnished, very cosy, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. Location was very good for exploring the North Lakes. Would highly recommend. One of the best cottages we've stayed in.

The cottage was really lovely, it was cosy and had everything and more that you could need for a family. The perfect place to return to after a day exploring the lakes.

This was a delightful, character filled cottage set in the small village of Skelton, about 8 miles from Penrith in the Lakes District. The cottage had 4 bedrooms (two only single) with the main bedroom being rather spacious, there was also a dining area plus two large lounge areas, and 4 TV's, plus a fully equipped gym, so there was plenty of space for everyone to either be together else seperate. The kitchen was well equipped, and provided a great base from which to explore the Lakes and Pennines. There is only one bathroom, but it is a beauty, with a large clawfoot bath and the best power shower you could ever hope for. The only issue was being tall I had to keep ducking (sometimes unsuccessfully) for some of the lower beams, but this was all in keeping with the character of the cottage. The owner Louise was very friendly and accommodating, and there was plenty of dvd's, books etc to while away the time. While we were there we even had snow one evening, so we could awake to a white wonderland. Overall highly recommended as a holiday let if considering visiting the area
