Whiteboro Lodge is set on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border. The cottage is beautifully presented, and has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. There is a folding bed available for this room too. Downstairs is a cloakroom with basin and WC, a kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with sofabed. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and an enclosed front garden with patio and lawn. Whiteboro Lodge makes a convenient and comfortable base for couples or small families to enjoy the Peak District and Nottinghamshire.

The hamlet of Tibshelf is on the border of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The hamlet is very close to Hardwick Hall, and within easy reach of the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House, Chesterfield and Nottingham, as well as Sherwood Forest.

The ultimate in "year-round" appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Gas central heating. Gas range cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 3 cars. Front patio with furniture and lawned area. One well-behaved dog welcome (downstairs only). Sorry, no smoking. Shop 3 miles, pub 1.5 miles. Note: This cottage is set back from the main road but some road noise may be experienced.

We were very pleased with the general cleanliness, fixtures and fittings were very good. The cottage is in a very good location to visit Hardwick Hall and grounds; we can recommend the Hardwick Inn! Chesterfield is very close if you need any groceries. Lots of other attractions are nearby if you are on a longer break.

We all enjoyed our holiday, a good base for exploring Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The owners were so lovely made us feel welcome. My 5 year old daughter loved watching the horses just outside the garden. A very nice week stay.
