Wisteria Cottage description

Holiday home
Wisteria Cottage is a cottage in the village of Haworth just ten miles from Skipton. The cottage sleeps six people and has two king-size double bedrooms and one twin, together with a family bathroom. Also in the cottage are a fitted kitchen, dining room with woodburner and sitting room with woodburner. Outside is off road parking for one car and roadside parking outside the cottage and a courtyard with furniture. Situated in Yorkshire, Wisteria Cottage is a lovely base from which to explore this delightful part of the country.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Gas central heating with woodburning stoves. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, MP3, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Additional fuel for stove available locally. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Off road parking for 1 car. Roadside parking available in front of the cottage on a first come, first served basis. Storage for bikes and hiking gear etc at end of kitchen. Private courtyard with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 4 mins walk. Note: Three steps down to the rear courtyard and care should be taken. Note: Main house steps are little steeper than standard.

It was very comfortable and clean and everything had been well thought through. It was also in an excellent position for all attractions.

A gorgeous cottage in an excellent situation. It is a two minute walk from the village, couldn't have asked for anything better!

Freshly decorated, and looking very smart, this was a great choice of cottage.

We could not have hoped for better accommodation than Wisteria Cottage. The house was extremely well equipped, beautifully clean and very tastefully decorated. The owners had thought of everything; in fact, the cottage felt like a home away from home. It is situated just a short walk from Haworth's main street, parking was easy and the outdoor area at the back provided the children with a great play area. I am sure we shall return.

This property was absolutely perfect for our weekend in Haworth. We all LOVED it. It is in an easy location for walking out on the Moors or enjoying the facilities of Haworth.

Lovely welcoming cottage with 3 good size bedrooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great location 2 minutes from the main street in Haworth where you will find pubs shops and great tea rooms. Go to the bottom of the hill through the park and you can go on the steam train, fantastic.

The cottage was ideally situated in a quiet residential area minutes away from the main centre of Haworth. The cottage has been beautifully renovated with every necessary facility and was a really lovely place to stay. We appreciated the festive touches provided for us. The owners were really friendly, helpful and happy to be contacted regarding any problems. Their being at the cottage when we arrived got our stay off to a good start and gave it a personal touch. We had a great time exploring the many local attractions, whilst having a warm and comfortable place to return to in the evening. A great place to meet up and we would love to go there again.

Excellent location for Haworth Main Street and surrounding attractions. Beautiful, well appointed spacious cottage which was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and warm. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

What a gem of a cottage, perfect in every way. Location perfect, level of cleanliness perfect, Beds perfect. I hardly want to write this review in case next time I go to book it and it will be booked out. Haworth is one if not the most beautiful place in Yorkshire (Grassington a close second). We were two couples with no children but you could easily have had another couple in there no problem. I want to go back time and time again and will. The cottage was beautiful inside and out and the neighbours were lovely. There were two car parking spaces at the rear on the cottage and also we were able to park one of the cars outside the front of the cottage. We walked down and went on the steam train which was packed but lovely (it was boxing day). Thank you so much for allowing us to book this cottage for the Christmas week as it was a joy from start to finish

We stayed for a week at the end of October. Wisteria Cottage is everything a home should be. Welcoming, warm and full of character. I have never felt so comfortable. The beds were lovely and we slept really well. House is fully equipped with everything you can think of and more. The woodburner was great and enough wood supplied with extra if you need it. If we were to stay in Haworth again, which I hope we will, then Wisteria Cottage will be top of the list.

This is a beautiful cottage, which really felt like a home from home. Very well equipped kitchen, good beds, lots of storage space and every comfort thought off, icluding lovely fluffy towels. We were welcomed by the owner, which really helped us to feel at home. She was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There is loads to do in the area. Wisteria Cottage is just a stone's throw from the cobbled Main Street, with its multitude of cafes and gift shops, as well as the famous Bronte parsonage. Also in Haworth we discovered a great park and lots of good walks and runs. Further afield, we visited the Keighley and Worth Valle steam railway (station in Ha?orth itself), Eureka in Halifax, Skipton canal and castle and we flew kites and walked all over the moors. All in all a great holiday in a perfect cottage.
